(Christian Science Monitor)   Ladies and gentlemen, this is Andromeda. Andromeda is a galaxy of our local cluster. But Andromeda has a ring. Now think about it. That does not make sense   (csmonitor.com) divider line 53

So rarely is one whose beauty is so remarkable and undeniable... yet completely eclipsed by terrible terrible acting performances.

She's like Kristen Stewart for TV (only much hotter).

She was hands down the worst actor to step foot onto the SG1 set. And that is saying something.

I don't think she's worse than Kristen Kreuk circa Smallville, to be honest.

Hey! I started listening to that book. I got up to the 'we are on the fleet' bit before my travels were over.

Kinda hoping it picks up. Well written so far but not seat gripping.

It sure wasn't her acting chops that landed her the SG1 job.

They had a baby together too (I'm pretty sure it's Apophis' baby but who am I to judge? They seem happy)

Duh. Andromeda represents Jesus, and the dwarf galaxies his apostolic entourage.

That's because all thirteen galaxies are self-contained, self-propelled, intercommunicable computronium masses. By looking at them and being aware of them, they've just been alerted to a new unknown waveform collapsing intelligence: us.

They've sent simulagents our way now.

Came for the leftie anti-religious warrgarrrrble and leaving mildly disappointed. Come on, people, you can do better than the above. Seriously, its a "Christian" publication which automatically means everything in it is bullshiat, right?

The thought that crossed my mind is that we are looking at some artifact constructed by an alien race (sort of like the ring of planets in Hamilton's Night's Dawn trilogy).

Planets I can sort of comprehend and sort of feel safe with. But if someone were moving farking galaxies around just because it's Art or whatever, that would scare the ever-loving shiat out of me.

Clarke's Third Law: Any sufficiently advanced technology is indistinguishable from magic.

Clarke's Third Law Derivative: Any sufficiently advanced species will be indistinguishable from Gods.

(I'm messing around with a CoolPad Smart phone I got on 12/31 from MetroPCS. Not the best, but a hell of a lot better than I had [ancient flip phone]. And my wife [she got one too] is saying how this would have seemed like magic to anyone from 1960.)

The show's called Andromeda (hence the joke in my initial post). Dunno if it's still there, though
