Can I sleep in the pub/pool room?

I expected machine guns, animatronic monsters, and a turret.

And yet it looks like it isn't lived in. I don't expect to see laundry laying around or dirty dishes, but, it just looks too pristine.

That said, I would possibly kill for that pub in my house, and my own bar is pretty damn sweet already.

I just want the pool and bar. Dude can keep his useless "full size" soccer pitch.

But good god man your pool is awesome.

Yeah, that pub is awesome. Makes me want a beer just looking at it.

I would paint that phone box outside the house blue.

Probably cause he's selling it and doesn't live there anymore, not to mention those are promo pictures.

Do you take pictures of your house with filth laying around and then show them to strangers?

I guess if you're going to spend that much money on a mansion, that's not a bad way to do it.

On expensive properties like this one, it's common for the real estate agent to send a "dresser" (think "set dresser") along before the photographer, to make the house appear as perfect as possible. When it comes to a house which belongs to a famous person, they sometimes spend days removing any personal items (such as gold records) so the owner can't be identified by the listing photos. In this case, it appears they feel that the owner's name is a selling point.

After a certain age and certain amount of money you get past the whole need to live in half-demolished excess.

Watch interviews with Pete Townshend and Jeff Beck. Both of those guys live in homes that look incredibly normal and domestic.

As a bass player who plays absolutely no metal at all I can say that I have an incredible amount of respect for Steve and his abilities. James Jamerson may have gotten by using one finger but Steve certainly makes good use of all of his. And major props for doing it all on a P-Bass with flatwound strings.

Is that a UK thing not to call it a bass?

Well, it's still a guitar...
And Steve also knows how to play guitar guitars.
So...

right re: bass guitar being a guitar, but I guess I never knew he was a guitarist per se...
side note to that, on wikipedia (clearly the be all and end all...) regular guitar isn't listed under instrumentation for Harris...

I am a massive Jeff Beck fan, but I doubt he makes millions like he dudes in Maiden.

Watch what you wish for. Next thing you know it will be full of the English. Bad teeth, and British "8's" if you know what I mean.

A proper english pub is a wonder to behold. Rarer by the day unfortunately but the genuine article is a lesson to drinking establishments everywhere.

Also go Steve, fark em all and live like a silly bastard with too much cash

NoMeansYes: Steve Harris is only worth 28 million pounds? That seems much too low, don't ya think, lads?

Iron Maiden has always invested a lot of money into their production values, be it live shows, studio quality, or music packaging. They might have made more profit if they'd done things on the cheap, but that's not how Maiden rolls.

Anyway, I'm just glad that he isn't selling it because he's broke.

On the interior, yes, it looks as I'd expect. The exterior, however, isn't castle-ish enough for me. Needs more stones and crenelations. Maybe some truncheons for flinging rocks, cows, or poo.

Awesome! Up the Irons!
