I like(d) Bruce. Havn't followed much of his work since the Live 75-85 3 CD release, though.

I've been listening to "The Wild, The Innocent, and the E Street Shuffle" a lot lately. My favorite Bruce album of all time.

i grew up in jersey. he was singing about the jersey shore while i was milking cows and cutting hay as a teenager for $2.25 an hour. i couldn't relate then and still don't. but at least i inherited property in one of the most valuable parts of the country and retired in my early 40's.

That is my favorite by far, too. Love it.

-1/10

I like "Jessie's Girl", but "Born to Run" is his best song.

Back during the "Born in the USA" tour, I worked in a record store when in walks Bruce & a bodyguard/friend. He bought 4 cassettes ('yellowman', 'foreigner 4' and 2 others I forget.) I had him sign a couple copies of the LP - then when I closed out the registers at the end of the night, I 'bought' the credit card receipt out of the register (didn't steal anything, just swapped my cash for his cc slip.)

BTW - you are welcome Mr. Springsteen for saving you the $44 or something

He's prolific, so while he's going to make some brilliant things, he's also going to make some meh stuff. I was 16 when Darkness on the Edge Of Town came out so that holds a special place for me, but personally I think Nebraska sucked. And his latest Wrecking Ball feels kind of pedestrian for a BS project.
