I once got paid $30 by a market research firm to watch one episode of Cougar Town. It wasn't worth it.

You have to understand. The Studmen69 brigade of Fark are the most suave debonair specimens of men on the planet, who only date women so hot, they make Gisele look like John Goodman with palsy.

I try to not be too hard on them.  How would you like it if your social life was entirely hypothetical?  I find the studman69s just slightly more tolerable than the eunuchs who assume good looking amicable people with standards are all luddites who exist on a plane where computers simply aren't used.

This from the site with a Brony thread. Makes sense.

After seeing her in person last June the first thing I did was look up her age. In person she passed for early thirties. Great bod, etc., but what really sells on her are those eyes...

This is quite relevant to my interests

Last time I saw her in person was over a decade ago and she looked 40.  Not that that's a bad thing.  She looked like a really good 40, and now she looks like a really good 48.  I think it's her skull structure.  When she was young, she was kind of boyish and awkward, so she really peaked in her 40s.  It's the Rene Russo effect.

Seeing Courtney Cox naked? Sure, I'm ok with that.

Getting suckered into watching Cougar Town by an insincere promise of nudity, even though everyone knows a non-cable channel won't actually show anything? Yeah... that ain't ever gonna happen. You fail again, network geniuses.

Tom_Slick: dletter: So, the over/under for your marriage is about 4 years?

Probably, but for now it is what we both need, she may decide she needs to live like most women in their mid 20s she may not, she has not had a family since she was 10 and she desperately wants one, she was mentored as a young teen in foster care by my late wife, became my go to baby sitter after my wife died and moved in as a full-time nanny when she turned 18 and was pretty much abandoned by the foster system. I have hopes it will last, but if I am honest 5 years is probably a good estimate.

Oh boy....

//Best of luck, but I'll be darned if that isn't more red flags than I can count.

Johnsnownw: JolobinSmokin: My wife and i will watch it.

/we've had sex once since last October
//8 week old baby tho

What's the rest of your excuses
Sex after I get they typing makes it two

/in our 30's

We have a one year old, wife is a doctor and works 70+ hrs a week. Even after the kid was born we were having sex on a pretty consistent basis...at least twice a week. So, you might want to talk to your wife about it, as I wouldn't consider once since Oct. normal, even with a relatively needy newish born.
/Just 30

~Greatly~ depends on the kid. My wife and I spent the first three months after my daughter was born barely holding on to sanity. The child did not sleep, ever. Given the choice between an hour of actual sleep for the first time in two days...or sex...lets just say those first three months were a bit of a dry spell.

//It got better.

Yup a truckload of red flags, and us getting together was 100% her idea, and a pre-nup was her idea as well, she has also promised me if she ever decides she wants to leave she won't sneak around she will just tell me. She is very level headed and responsible. Is she in love with me or the stability and family she has never had? I don't know, I do love her and always have just not romantically until just last November, my daughter adores her and she has been very good to her.

/I was a gambler before I met my late wife and got all responsible when deciding to get involved romantically and marry my 19 year old nanny I figured my odds were 40% for success, better than any casino and I hope she never feels cheated out of life.

You know, given that your late wife mentored your new fiancée, I wonder if maybe your fiancée was partly drawn to you to "look after you" for your wife? You know, to kind of make sure you and your child had a happy life. That isn't to say there isn't a romantic love there as well. All the comments so far are leaning toward to what she is getting from this while it may be that she is doing it for you too. At any rate the age difference and circumstances aren't totally negative. Plenty of relationships last long term even with 20 years difference between them.

PanicMan: But seriously, does anyone watch the show? Is it as bad as the promos make it look?

It's actually decent, especially if you can ignore the terrible title and get through the early episodes where it was still finding its identity.

It's a Bill Lawrence show, so if you enjoyed Scrubs then chances are you'll like it. Not as good, but similar mix of humor and drama.

This. It got much better once they abandoned the premise of her being a cougar chasing around younger guys. Not sure how long they could've kept that up. Now, it's a more grown-up version of Friends, but funnier and not as sappy. My only beef is that the chick who plays her best friend just plays the exact same mean, biatchy shrew she played on Scrubs, and I want to punch her in her face.

Any older guy can get a younger fat girl with self esteem issues. Or the older guy can just have a lot of money and be a big piggy bank for the young hot chick.

Or, we could both be working full-time, middle class, average looking, average weight Americans. Just a thought.

From what I've seen, and for what anecdotes are worth, hetero relationships with a big age gap work better/last longer when it's the woman who is the older one.

I've never really been into CC (find her a bit of a plain Jane), but lots of my friends are, so I checked out the thread. Yep, plenty of studmen69. I can see how some men might find her really hot, at whatever age. I just never did. I hereby christen me: studman69 2.0

On regular TV? It doesn't matter if they have nude day when I know I won't be seeing anything my level of caring drops dramatically. The funny thing is that the Ex and I had nude days, but they weren't a planned event we were just having sex so often on those days that putting clothes on was somewhat pointless.
