By far the Siccest dunk I have ever seen. Difficulty of 16 on a scale of 1/10!

That reminded me of a quick set in volleyball. Impressive to watch but more timing than anything else.

"I was like, 'J.R., really?' You're just gonna catch it and dunk it backwards with one hand? Is it that easy?'' Stoudemire said. "I wish I was 27 again."

You mean you wish you had healthy knees? I mean c'mon guy, you just turned 30. You should have a couple prime years left in you.

I can't help but think of this every time I see or hear of JR Smith.

It's one thing to be eviscerated by the media for poor play, but to be outright EMASCULATED like he was in paragraphs 4-6 is quite impressive.

You know that's right, Amare.

His knees are barely better than Greg Oden's

He is the perpetually half a step slow man.

The speed there is just ridiculous. I couldn't do it that quickly and cleanly kneeling under a five-foot rim.

That's not a 'reverse alley-oop dunk', it's an 'alley-oop reverse dunk'. When I saw the headline I was thinking, 'wtf is a reverse alley-oop.'

It's sad to see, really. I remember him tearing up Tim Duncan in a couple of playoff games with Phoenix. Even after he came back after the microfracture surgery and went to the Knicks, he was arguably the MVP of the league before they acquired Carmelo. Hopefully he still has something left.

For the All Star Dunk contest, this highlight should be shown and then they just give JR Smith the trophy because I can't imagine any other dunk looking this good. Besides, watching someone jump over someone/something just to make a dunk is played out.

I love the Def Comedy Jam-esque bench celebrations that have become more prevalent during replays of nasty dunks.

When J.R. Smith wants to play hard and smart, J.R. Smith is damn near unstoppable.  The problem is he only plays hard and smart for about 3 minutes a game.

I thought a guy went up for a dunk, and mid-dunk kicked it out to the point guard who caught it and launched a 3 in mid-air.

JR is that good at basketball? I figured the Bells' Palsy might've hindered him a bit

Shouldn't the pass be caught *above* the rim for it to be an alley-oop? This is just a pass to a guy cutting baseline.

And yet Subby was so impressed (or lazy), he decided to use the Deadspin headline verbatim. (btw, how long has it been that Fark has not allowed multiple submissions of the same link [by different people]? I've seen a lot of interesting links with uninspired headlines lately, and wonder if this first-come, first-served policy has something to do with it.)

Back on topic, the NBA sure has become fun to watch since they lowered the baskets to seven feet!

Perhaps. Or it could be that the person scoring takes off and is already in the air when the receive the pass - thats the definition that makes more sense to me.
