A brochure accompanying the kit features an adorable corgi, of course.

Such a productive use of time.  Mature, too.  I'm glad they're taking their abysmal approval ratings and non-existent legislative record seriously.

2013-01-04 03:47:37 PM
that was really well done. it's nice to see that they put more time and energy into crafting a "liberals are dumb" brochure than the did for their "road to recovery" plan.

keep farking that chicken, republicans.

And democrats gave the republican tea party membership cards.  The house is like a rumpus room for toddlers.

2013-01-04 03:53:19 PM
And then they reelected Boehner. Lap dogs.

I can't even imagine how many jobs this created.

jesus, really? is this a tradition or something or have they all just bought into the idea that congress is broken so f*ck it?

I've seen this 'look' somewhere else --

Where did they steal the look from? Or is this sort of today's graphic design vernacular?

You know, if I acted like this in my place of business, security would escort me off the premises pretty quickly.

I imagine it started out as a playful ribbing of the new kids, but in this climate we can't even joke with each other without turning into douchebags.

To be fair, it looks like it's from the NRCC, therefore it's some contributors' dollars at work. Not our dollars.

yeah- see it has less of a " pretend its tradition to make the new guy sing at the beginning of his first staff meeting" feel and more of a mean spirited feel.

Good. New House Dems should know not to expect any respect or goodwill from the GOP. Let's see how that works out.

So basically this is an attempt to take attention away from the fact that Boehner royally sucks at his job.

"Waah!  Pelosi got lots of things done when she was Speaker only because all of the Democrats were under her sway!  Waah!"

Yeah, nice try.  But it's not going to work.

Way to live extend that Olive branch early and show how serious you are about working together to solve the nation's problems GOP.

Seriously, what do they hope to accomplish by this  some sort of reverse psychology, Bugs-bunny inspired manuever where Dems vote against thier caucus just to show how independent they are and prove they AREN'T lapdogs?  Since I'm assuming all incoming freshmen are above the age of 7 and have an IQ above room temperature, I can't really see that working.

In fact, the ONLY thing this might be able to accomplish is shake some more fundraising out of the most gullible of the faithful.   Send a copy out in some fund-raising later and hope the base Chuckles like Roscoe P. Coltrane, and chortles "Boy, they sure gave them Dems some what-fer!"  while writing a check.  And for that they are ready to premeptively osion the well before the Congress even gets underway.

Sad.

Can't even point and laugh, it's just so childish... and sad that so many Americans think these people were worthy of (re)election.

It would be nice if this wasn't such a direct, mean-spirited and pointed attack against the new members of Congress.  It really underscores the outright refusal to even engage in a modicum of decorum or work across party lines.

"Democrat?  Obviously a lapdog with no ability to think for themselves."  Yeah, that's going to breed compromise and break down barriers.

Well, to be fair, Republicans received fewer votes for the House than did Democrats. They are just experts at weaselly gerrymandering so they can still win even when getting fewer actual votes.

God forbid a middle school level of respect is given to fellow congressmen.

The Tea Party is the greatest threat to the United States since the Civil War.

There are no Republicans. There is only a loose confederation of rugged individualists that love Guns, Jesus, and America - in that order.

Dear GOP:

You lost the Presidential election, twice now the Tea Party has cost you control of the Senate, and SCOTUS has upheld ObamaCare. But if making fun of Nancy Pelosi makes you feel better about all of your losses, then have fun.

2013-01-04 04:50:57 PM
If it is actually meant in jest, it is pretty good that they like to mess with each other.

The tea party card should have been one of those stupid tea stained burned paper things that we wrote on with a feather during our elementary school's 1976 centennial celebration.

I'm surprised they didn't give them all a big tube of lube so George Soros can f**k them in the ass more easily. Or kneepads for when they snorkel 0bama's sausage.

I like how they make fun of Dems for Pelosi "telling them how to vote."

Yeah, it's better to have a completely fractured party who can't get its shiat together and ignores its own leadership - while keeping said leadership in office.
