Why are they called Ozzie and Harriet? Did they spawn a son who couldn't fly too?

Lonestar: no babies?

Two. They are sitting on them for some reason. Baby-sitting, if you will.

That was awesome. Little babies start scrapping cause mom is only feeding one of them.

I live 20 minutes from lake Pleasant, Roosevelt bald eagle reserve, it's one of the main nursuries for Bald Eagles. Can't go on the back half of the lake until late march, noise causes cracks in the eggs. The eagles stay in the nursery until the end of their third year when they get their white caps. 2 and 3 year olds cruze the lake year round, 5 to 6 foot wing span at 3 years. The females spend the winter down here so if you are on the lake in late Feb early March you may get to see a full grown female up close. They are massive and 'majestic' just oozes from every pore. One landed on a bank about 75 feet from us, 3 1/2 foot tall with at least an 8 foot wing span, you could see the muscles rippling under her coat of feathers.

Truly awesome

Since this is in Florida, I totally expect the eagle to get in some sort of drunken trouble with the police.

Though I probably won't spend more than a grand total of 3:00 watching it, still a good find Subby. Things like this remind me how cool it is to be living in times that things like this are possible.

Check back around sunrise (or later). I doubt any of us are all that interesting while we are trying to sleep.
