We got rid of the beer and cigarette machines, what makes anybody think we're going to allow cannabis dispensers?

But as Washington and Colorado figure out how to create a legal pot market for the masses, Hollywood-based Medbox, a public company, is offering up its expertise in convenient delivery systems.

I hope they call it Red(eye)Box

chances of it being broken into are high, but you could make a hell of a profit from them. I'd do one of those large combo machines that serves multiple types of goods. A drink selection, a snack selection, a cannabis section. Install a credit card machine and have it dial home so you can monitor inventory and set this up near your local college and watch the profits

Alternatively, pair it with massage chairs.

I don't see this as being cost-effective or necessary, and might result in people staring blankly at vending machines for prolonged periods of time.

Any ideas on how to cash in on pot legalization that are NOT completely retarded?

Yes. The state of Washington advertised in the DJC a month or so ago that they wanted proposals for a consultation project with an estimated value of $700,000 for teaching the State how to grow. Seriously.

Believe it or not, cigarette vending machines are still very much a thing in Europe.

The perfect trifecta:

1. Vending Machine for pot/pot goodies
2. Massage recliner
3. Monitor that loops Zombo.com

Baring that, you should just start up a bargain hydro shop. Most of those places overcharge. Mine the miners as it were.

Marijuana is still banned federally, and if even one vending machine crosses state lines between its manufacturer and end-user, that's interstate commerce. Expect the jackbooted feds.

The way they interpret that clause, you don't actually have to cross state lines for them to invoke it. Merely being in the market inside a state will affect commerce outside of the state therefore it's interstate commerce.
