Phaeon:zappaisfrank: It's difficult to overlook the fact that Mariah does have talent, but I dislike her more for what she has spawned than what she's created herself.
Thanks to her (and Whitney Houston) we now have this endless procession of Mariah "wanna bees" who cannot simply sing a song, they have to contort their voices into all manner of vocal gymnastics, note bending and flat out screaming in some misguided attempt to replicate her style and sound.
Makes me all stabby just thinking about it...
