naughtyrev: Just make Khalua pancakes and be done with it. Or make small pancakes and dunk them in white russians. Both are equally awesome, though none as good as pure pancakes with peanut butter melting all over them.

MycroftHolmes: Why the scary tag? Is it bad to try new foods, or is it scary that trendy restaurants will sometimes try to be on the cutting edge of food trends? Personally, I am not a fan of a lot of modern haute cuisine, as I like the old school 'good food, and lots of it' model, and I do find trendy people sometimes shallow and lacking in understanding of why they are following trends. But to each their own
pute kisses like a man: maybe i just live somewhere that likes food, but this article read like it could have been written several years ago.
abhorrent1: Ant: Stupid low gluten fad. Very few of you bandwagon hoppers are actually allergic to gluten! Knock it off!/loves me some glutenIt's an excuse for their low carb diet. Saying they're allergic to gluten sounds better than "I'm fat and need to lose weight".

Peepeye: I work at an Italian restaurant. People get mad that we don't offer gluten free pasta. Offering rosemary potatoes or extra veggies doesn't satisfy them.
Ant: Mmmmm... Gluten...[img703.imageshack.us image 800x600]/amateur baker
spunkymunky: Zoophagous: Moved to a low gluten diet for health reasons. So far it's awesome. Breakfast? Bacon and eggs.I have a coconut pancake recipe I am going to try tomorrow morning./no gluten pumpkin pancakes suckedUse buckwheat flour. Most of the goofy buckwheat pancake mixes that are sold have regular flour in them as well. I make mine by using 50% buckwheat flour and 50% homemade gluten free all purpose flour (brown rice flour, white rice flour, tapioca flour, xantham gum). Works wonderfully. Especially with some mashed sweet potatoes mixed in to the batter. Dammit, now I'm hungry.
