This is not a dumbass. This is not a suicidal person. This MAN has let go. He has arrived. I envy him and hope his insurance policy delivers.

WillyChase: We need to get this guy a film crew and a reality show.

None of this candyass Swamp Logger or Ice Road Trucker nonsense. It's

War Zone Trucker

Courage the likes of which most people can't imagine, let alone exhibit. Shot at by people he doesn't know for a cause that isn't his...and all for the LULz.

Nothing left for him in Japan, so he follows his passion elsewhere. Can't really find fault in him for that. Plus, the photos he takes will probably end up in some kind of art gallery collection someday. The fact that he's a tourist gives a unique spin on his photos - he might have access to situations that a journalist wouldn't.

I'd read the fine print on that policy, dude.

CSB: Right after I was posted to a new city, the bank called me up and offered me a life insurance policy. Only after some enthusiastic questioning did I get them to tell me it had a no war-no terrorism clause. Thanks a lot guys.

seriously, he might be having one hell of a blast doing what he's doing but I imagine his motivation is crushing depression.

yeah, I'm pretty sure running around in warzones doesn't exactly count as an accidental death.

Despite evidence to the contrary, murder is not a commonplace occurrence in Ankh-Morpork, there are, of course, assassinations, but as these are guild sanctioned they are not deemed to be against the law. Ankh-Morpork does, however, have an extraordinarily high suicide rate, due mainly to the city's view on what constitutes as suicide. For example, walking alone through the night-time alleyways of the Shades is suicide, as is asking for a short in a dwarf bar. It is very easy to commit suicide in Ankh-Morpork if you are not careful.

I'm a combination of samurai and kamikaze.

Seriously? He actually said that? If that line appeared in a Hollywood movie the writer would probably be accused of being racist.

If he likes getting shot at and really wants to live on the wild side, he can dress like a deer and wander around the woods in East Texas.  I'd put my money on that over a Syrian war zone any day of the week.

Fujimoto is divorced: "I have no family, no friends, no girlfriend. I am alone in life."

But he does have three daughters, whom he hasn't seen for five years, "not even on Facebook or the Internet - nothing. And that saddens me deeply," he said as he wiped away a tear.

So he has bought a life insurance policy, and "I pray every day that, if something happens to me, my girls might collect the insurance money and be able to live comfortably."

Sounds pretty smart to me. He's lost everything, and believe me the Japanese legal system can take your kids away a lot harder than the American one, and now he's just enjoying himself and hoping to die. A more responsible version of Leaving Las Vegas.

And if it fails? He gets to come back with war stories that can get him laid in any bar in Japan, and there's a hell of a lot of those around here.

Honestly, I'm impressed. I hope I can one day meet the dude.
