If they had this rule when I was in grade school, none of us would have made it past 3rd grade. Your whole status was wrapped up in how good your gun sound effects were. You also needed muscle car sounds and drums in your repertoire.

OTOH, they did tell him 3 times to stop it, but he persisted. Take your medicine, kid.

Kid saw the principal three times over this. Part of me says the school is overreacting to this. Part of me also feels you wouldn't have these problems if you didn't raise a little shiathead that couldn't follow school policy after three trips to the principal.

Also shiat from elementary school ends up on your permanent record now?

Our preschoolers will only be safe when each and everyone one of them carries a pointed finger at all times.

In before the Outraged RightTMdemand that fingers should be permanently clasped in fervent prayer and vocalizations such as "pew pew pew" are to be banned....

The right to children's arms isn't even in the Constitution. I see no problem with this.

Back in my day we used real guns, could you imagine the terror we would have inflicted today.

I've always wondered about that "permanent record" thing. What is it exactly and where does it go after you're done with school?

in 4th grade carried a real but disabled .357 to school on Halloween as part of my police outfit. One teacher bothered to ask me if the gun was real, I said it wasn't "oh ok."

other than the massive csb, I'm not sure what this means, other than I don't think we're progressing much on this front.

In the second grade my friend Jeff told me there was no such thing, that they just used it to scare you. Suddenly I felt liberated.
