If I watch Elementary, will I die a little inside or just burst into flame immediately?

Nah, just ignore the fact that it's Holmes (or just realize that it's only a re-visualization of the character) and go with it. Jonny Lee Miller is a good actor, and fun to watch.

Everyone is focussing on ELEMENTARY as a rip-off of Sherlock Holmes.

It isn't.

Its actually a rip-off of PSYCH, which means that this is the second time that CBS has done it (the first
was THE MENTALIST, which is a much more naked pilfering).

I don't watch either, and the new season of PSYCH starts February 27th.

Agreed. It's fun to watch, he's great and Lucy Liu is always easy to look at. It's not faithful to the Doyle stories but I don't watch it for that. They're all good on their own.

I don't know...he swallowed a bullet right in front of Holmes...don't know how you'd fake that.

That's what I thought the first time I watched it. But after watching it a second time, I'm not so sure. You hear the gun fire, but you don't see anything. Moriarty falls to the ground, but Holmes never examines the body (pretty unusual for him.)

I just assumed he tossed Moriarty's body off the roof to be mistaken for his own.

Ugh, Lucy Liu. Even as someone with an asian girl fetish that's one I'd pass over.

/her voice acting is even worse than her usual "acting"
