One of the (kids) shows put on TV IMHO. I was actually kind of upset after the final episode. To be perfectly honest I would rather watch iCarly Victorious, or Wizards of Waverly Place than most of the rest of the crap thats on TV these days. Tyler Perry

I'd just like to point out that the "teens" on 'Switched at Birth' are actually in their twenties.

TFA author is a dumbass. Take 2 seconds to Wikipedia the damn show and realize it's on Nick and not on Disney. Holy fark, research, how does it work?!?!

And yeah, Freddie is totally getting used.

I thought Bourdain was going to riff on the rumors that Dan Schneider is dirty pervert who uses his position of power to molest starlets, up to and including possibly being the father of Jamie Lynn Spears kid

He is Anthony Bourdain, now shut up and listen.

Hey everyone, LOOK!!!, Anthony Bourdain did a thing! A pointless, idiotic thing that any other person would be mocked as an attention whore for doing. But it's Anthony Bourdain - pompous, self-important toolbag - so it must be something we should look at and marvel!

I've seen iCarly and Victorious due my cousins staying in my house from time to time... Not hideous shows but certainly I'm not the target audience, so any opinion about the content is pointless coming from me...

However, both Victoria Justice and Ariana Grande are REALLY hot, in my opinion...

/Always enjoyed Bourdain's work...

I can appreciate being "indifferent" towards Bourdain, or simply not caring about him at all, but to actively dislike him is something I cannot fathom.

If you regularly post on, or peruse through Fark, then there's a 99% chance you're a snarky asshole to some degree. He, too, is a snarky asshole who happens to make a nice living for himself and have a "job" most of us would kill for (travel where I want? eat and drink at my leisure? AND SOMEONE ELSE PAYS FOR IT??? Sign me the fark up!).

Yeah, he may occasionally interject politics and other potentially divisive opinions here and there, but if you find that to be such a problem out of a TV personality (and also a writer, etc, but I digress), then by all means, enjoy the blandness and inoffensiveness of a Ryan Seacrest or Carson Daly.

If you think the sexual dysfunction in iCarly is Freddie being used - you clearly have never seen one of the shows.

I did have a chuckle at the author inadvertently insulting himself,

"Also, Spencer is apparently a major f**k up."

If by fark up, you mean an 'Arts Major' (Who happens to be a sculptor - not too much unlike a Writer....)

Also, their Father serves in the Navy on a Sub, so he gone for 6 months at a time this is why Carly and Spencer have no parental figure in the household.

/have an 8yo - I know more about this show than I want too...
//Thank god for Jennette though... only thing that made it worth it..

Thin Alton. Like he mentions, I always got the feeling that Food Network just utilized him in a different way after Good Eats. His Good Eats episodes after he lost the weight still had the same geeky charm to them. It's the Iron Chef/Next Food Network Star runs where he comes off as a dick.

have a son who won't admit, but has a crush on both Carly and Sam, that's why he watched...
show wasn't terrible, but I HATE how adults are portrayed on those shows (I guess it could go for some commercials too)
Kids are way smart, parents/adult types are stupid bumbling morons, every last one of them.
Dads/father figures are usually portrayed as the dumbest of the dumb...
drives me crazy....

/Carly totally used Freddy...
//I would have punched my mother daily if she acted like Freddy's mom
///would totally make out with Spencer, even on his dumb days

2013-01-03 03:53:01 PM
O---

////would so make out with Bourdain... just not on the "eating seal eyes or pig anus" days....

I'm curious why the show Marvin Marvin doesn't have a big backlash against it. I've only seen previews, but apparently it's a Mork and Mindy rip off, where Mork is every negative gay stereotype turned up to eleven. Kids are too young for the live action shows, but plenty of Nick cartoons in my house.

On black Friday my cousin and I were so hungover we couldn't move from the couch without puking. We couldn't find the remote and ended up watching 6 hours of this show. It turns out I was laying on the remote the whole time bit by the time we discovered that the finale was airing and we had become emotionally involved.

Summoner101: Thin Alton. Like he mentions, I always got the feeling that Food Network just utilized him in a different way after Good Eats. His Good Eats episodes after he lost the weight still had the same geeky charm to them. It's the Iron Chef/Next Food Network Star runs where he comes off as a dick.

The problem I have is that he has turned into a Food Network whore whereas he could do much more interesting things if he wanted.  And the guy is a bible thumper who has made inappropriate comments on certain political topics during his book tours (most notably on gay marriage in Iowa). I've soured on him a great deal.

Fortunately, I don't find the need to sympathize with his politics to appreciate his knowledge of food and his ability to teach. Also, he mentions trying to get into the Ebook biz, but I haven't followed him closely enough to find out where that went.
