These UFOs must be pretty common. One of our neighbours spotted one in Fairfield County, CT, shortly after midnight on Jan 1st.
He reported it to the local paper. I guess he didn't think that anyone might be launching paper lanterns on New Year's Eve.

Just because it's "unidentified" doesn't necessarily mean "of extraterrestrial or supernatural origin". Could be military, meteorological, geomagnetic, or any other mundane object/phenomenon. Doesn't mean it isn't worth trying to figure out what it is, though.

Ummm, yes they do. Two lanterns often behave exactly like that, and seem to pivot around each other, because they're caught in separate air currents. You can see this every single night in the hippier part of London.

I saw a UFO once when I was a kid. My mom and I were in one car following my dad and brother in another. It was a clear bright fall day and we were travelling on a straight road in rural PA with fields on either side. I remember seeing a green ball of light move from about 11 o'clock (directionally downward to about 2 o'clock, where it appeared to go behind a treeline a mile or so away.

There was no telling how far away it was or how fast it was moving as it seemed to just be light without any real definition, but it all happened in maybe 15-20 seconds or so. My mom remembers it being yellow, and also there being more than one. Totally silent, as far as we could tell from our moving vehicle. Also my brother and dad saw something along the same lines, as we learned afterward when we finally stopped.

At the time, I begged and begged for my mom to stop and let me just run over really quick to see if I could see where it "landed", but she refused. I can't say I blame her now, of course, but I always wonder what the hell that was. I've never seen anything like it before or since. But when I finally got my driver's license I spent a few late night hours laying in that field, staring up. Good times.

Two big red lights moving across the sky in formation (West to East), followed shortly after by two more travelling the same path.

I just assumed it was some military jets celebrating the New Year by lighting up some bright lights.

Big deal. I've seen lots of UFOs.

Couple weeks back, I seen one that I later found out to be the ISS, which was awesome.

My son launched several of these at his wedding. Yes, they travel in formation, apart from minor differences caused by air currents. The lights in the video looked exactly like fire ballons.
