grinding_journalist: Quantum Apostrophe: grinding_journalist: Yes, we should also fund alchemy, phrenology and eugenics. They haven't worked yet either, jackass.None of those fields panned out the way people thought they would, this is true. They didn't yield results that were sought, but did generate useful scientific data, and opened up new fields of inquiry. You'll note that I said "type" and did not specify fusion physics. I assumed this would suggest I thought that more high-end science based R&D and engineering should be taking place in this country. Nowhere did I say "we should keep funding failed technological research", and there's zero doubt in my mind that valuable science has been done over the decades by these researchers.I really don't understand how someone could think that only funding science that we "know" is going to work is a good idea.I like your strawman attempt to make me seem "Un-PC" though.
Pick: The earth could not exist without the moon. Simple fact. Not having tides, in itself would be a disaster.
zarberg: I can confirm the location of the moon, but I can't confirm the existence of the moon.[klingon-empire.org image 292x292]
Khellendros: zarberg: I can confirm the location of the moon, but I can't confirm the existence of the moon.[klingon-empire.org image 292x292]Do we report this?
