Weird to see Western people and traffic in the early 20th century act as if they're in downtown Delhi.

Pity they didn't show it at the original frame rate.

ThaGravy: 1906 is the earliest dash cam I've seen

Yeah, that video is awesome. And it appears they didn't have traffic lights yet, either.

Lot more cars than I thought would be available at the time...and it looks like the average speed for any vehicle was under 10 km/h.

It looked like a Beggin' Strips commercial, with the firebell on the bonnet twitching like the hungry dog's nose.

Obviously fire stations were few and far between. Quite a trek. Seems people still ignore sirens and wont get out of the way.

That's a surprising amount of auto traffic for 1926. Well, not on the sidewalk, I guess.

How about 20 years earlier? Not a dash cam, but hooked to the front of a Trolley in San Francisco in 1906, just before the earthquake.

Back then, they actually had headlight fluid. Prest-O-Lite.

2:17, the porter comes out of the doorway, sees the car careening down the sidewalk.

Was part of this upside down?

The speed of this video reminds of the car scene with Paul McCartney in Give My Regards to Broad Street.(I think that was the movie)
