(AZCentral)   There are several acceptable ways to deal with a six-year-old who called your girlfriend's son a name. Punching him is not one of them. "The child flies approximately four feet in the air and lands directly on his buttocks and slides up to wall''   (azcentral.com) divider line 106

No, I'm not talking about that. I beat the shiat out of some kids today.
But it was for a purpose. It made me feel good about myself.
It was like I did something constructive with my life or something,
I dunno, like I accomplished something.

Either that or give him a rope with a lock tied to the end and show him how to swing it right?

FTFA: The document said the little boy started crying and also urinated on himself after the attack.

If I was a 6 year old kid and an adult punched me like that, I probably would have done both of those things too.

If the man really wants to teach his kid (and the other kids) a life lesson, he'll plead guilty and make it abundantly clear what he did was wrong and that he needs to be punished.

Depending on what the 'unacceptable' name was, giving that kid a stern talking to in the calm, cool, and in-control adult voice and putting the fear of God into that child would have been equally as effective. My racist family seemed to have given me the impression that the n-word being used liberally was perfectly okay when I was 6 or 7 years old. Until using that word playing with my dark-skinned friend at her parents house. They let me know right quick that the word I used was not appropriate, and I had the fear of God put into me. I never used that word since then -- and I was so scared I didn't bother telling my parents about the dressing down my best friend's parents gave me. Which was probably a good thing, given how ass-backwards my parents are.

Are you insane?

A lock is one of a variety of postures whereby a human can immobilize another human using body mechanics so that they are unable to escape. Ideally they're rather safe and only uncomfortable rather than actually painful or dangerous. The classic playground lock is the "full Nelson" and it's almost completely harmless done well.

An actual metal lock on the end of a belt could easily kill a child or an adult in one blow. Anyone who'd let a six year old have such a weapon for any length of time deserves to be stuck in a pillory and verbally berated by all passerby for 72 hours at least.

2013-01-03 07:07:39 AM
Yeah, reactions pretty sane for the Internet around here.

Pretty horrid for any adult to do that to a child for any reason. Definitely.

Also not constructive to solve one's child's problems for them directly.

But truly, the LAST FARKING THING that kid will EVER do again is verbally abuse anyone. He'll be lucky if he ever SPEAKS again of his own free will.

I have to figure out a means of getting my own kids to deliver such an effective lesson to their bullies one day. Hopefully in a slightly safer and definitely less-prone-to-litigation-and-criminal-charges manner.

Or you could have taught your child how to be responsible from an early age instead of giving the impression that "The world has been made safe for them."

FTA-"he didn't think he punched the child hard like an adult would be hit,''

Somebody should help this asshole into a brand new colostomy bag. There is no acceptable level of force with which to punch a 6 year old. Not to mention, all hitting a child does is teach them that if you have a problem with what someone is doing, hit them.

Sounds more like arguing about the amount of force was the only thing left to him after denying was removed as an option because of that meddling camera. If he were smarter he would just say it was bad and that he was sorry. But if he were that smart he wouldn't have hit the boy anyway.

/great example for the stepson there

... Damnit that was funny. The commentary was mysogynistic and super lame but that uppercut was epic.

Solve your problems with words not violence is good advice for circles of people who speak coherently and can construct an argument like a logical rational human and communicate. Today I learned there isa word in German for a face that just needs to be punched in the face... Is there also sword for when a child just needs to be spanked?

Likea cuff upside the head, not an epic dragon punch to the body of someone a tenth your weight...
