Welcome to Farktography!
This Week's Theme: "Lights, Camera, Caption"

Description
: Give us a photo, and add a caption. Inspirational, de-motivational, meme-in-the-making, whatever suits your fancy. Aside from the caption, normal Farktography rules apply.

We ask that before submitting your photos you read and adhere to the following submission rules, including but not limited to the following:
- Submissions must be photographs; screen captures do not count as photographs.
- You must be the original photographer of your entry. Do not submit anyone else's photography as your own.
- You are only allowed to enter a photograph once. Do not submit the same photo to another contest later.
- You may enter 3 photos in each contest as long as each photo is of a different composition.
- Please post each photo separately so they can be voted for individually.

Please note:
The overarching ideal behind Farktography is that image corrections are acceptable, while adding or removing elements in the image (e.g. removing telephone poles, adding Elvis) is not acceptable. HDR, stitching, or otherwise combining exposures in post processing are not allowed unless specified for a particular theme (multiple exposures done in-camera are acceptable, however). See the rules for more information on acceptable modifications, or check in at the Farktography Forums.

Legal: All photographers submitting photos to this contest are the legal copyright holders for the photos submitted and the photos are not to be considered free for any other use without written consent from the submitting photographers.
- Drop by the Farktography Forum on Fark (new window) or Farktography.net (for chatting, critique, techtalk and so on)
- Stats can be found here.
- Image hosting sites can be found here.

Passive-Aggressive Camera Haiku

farm9.staticflickr.com

This is not a post-processing collage or effect! It happened all by itself! The ancient card must have tasted terrible.
Camera demonstrated its disapproval by cramming strips of several exposures into one frame.
It was much happier when I fed it a fresh Class 10 card.

(I believe this still fits the Farktography rules as it was done "in-camera" -- does it matter whether it was my idea or the camera's?)

Yeah, you're fine--we've had a few other camera error shots posted in years past, but nothing quite like that.  That's pretty wild!

Ah good, thanks for clarifying that!  :)  I really like the way that one turned out.  There were a few others too but they didn't look quite as artistic.   Good thing I was only taking a bunch of test shots, I would've been mad if something important had gotten chopped up like that.

Yeah I thought things like that only ever happened to film users.  I hope using that stupid old card didn't void my warranty, although thankfully the camera seems no worse for wear!  I love it actually.

I'm not really sure about this pose, are you sure that's how your camera-phone works? Don't worry, there's nothing Photoshop can't fix.

Love the humor, folks!  Voting isn't final until the thread closes, but at this point, congrats to fellow top finishers emiliogtz and spinach gunk!  Final winner will be recognized at farktography.net and in the Fark Farktography Forum.

See everyone next week for "Pink"!
