I like the kitchen; it's all space-agey. I'd change the cooktop and the countertops (slate or concrete would keep it feeling midcentury), but I'd keep the cabinets and hardware.

Fill that house with Danish modern furniture, and it's still pretty fab.

WTF Indeed: I should buy it so I can rent it out to Conservatives so they can masturbate in the same rooms that Reagan did.

I guarantee Reagan wouldn't rub one out to today's Republican Party.

I think the kitchen is perfect! That bathroom sucks ass though. I also love the corner windows, I wish builders would go back to that.

/loves mid-century modern
//has an entire house of vintage furniture that would look perfect there

I love it just as it is. The whole 50s design feel, when people thought space-age living on the moon was only a few years away and there would be a hover car for everyone. I'd live there in a heartbeat and happily spend my spare time looking for appropriate furniture in thrift shops. It'd need to be thrift shops with that monthly tax. And the cat would have to switch to generic store-brand food too.

Where some people feel warm and fuzzy being surrounded by mountains deep in a valley, Reagan wanted to be up high where he could overlook a good view.

It makes trickling down a lot easier...

It would be a nice place. Maybe tear down a wall here and there to really open the place up.

Of course, the bedroom still smells of chimpanzee.
