Will not upgrade unless it is 5G capable. And the maps are fixed.

5G? I want 6G. I want internet that's so fast that I start getting packets returned before I requested them. And chicks need to just see it to instantly hand over all their money before blowing me.

I didn't get the 5,

I had the 4 and the wife had the 3S, i then got the 4S, so my wife could have the 4, but the tech just isn't that much better for me to upgrade again like it was from the 3 to the 4 series.

This new one will have to be pretty amazing for me to upgrade.

A company is releasing new products each year? Why the hell aren't they just sticking with the 3GS for a decade?

Are we taking bets on whether a Samsung Galaxy S4 will be released this year too?

Who want to bet they'll call it the iPhone 5S?

And while they're at it, launch an iPod Touch 6 with black rimming the face. I love the new camera and a lot of the features in 5, but I really cannot stand the cheese white around the screen. Why would someone go from this:

Hope so, we have an upgrade coming in April and another in July a week before my birthday, i like to have one spare upgrade on the account just in case, so hopefully the 5s or whatever will be out in time for my birthday, my 3gs is getting a little long in the tooth. Slightly annoyed that 16gb is still the base storage...

Sounds like our house, except my wife's first smartphone is my old 4 after I upgraded to the 4s.

Own a 4S, been reasonably satisfied. I do have some demands:

1) NFC capability. Give me a way to use the phone as a wallet. They can do it in Japan and Korea, they can do it here.

2) Built-in picture locks and the ability to use biometric locks (fingerprints). Shouldn't be terribly hard to do.

3) Better battery life, given that they'll never allow a removable battery.

4) New headphone design. I've never liked the earbuds.

5) Better Siri implementation.

NFC, sure. The competitors have it.

Biometrics... why? you know it's going to be full of both false positives and false negatives.

Earbuds? You know you can plug in whatever headphones you want, right? Why is this even a thought?

Did you mean Air Bud? I found 16 places near you selling Air Bud: Golden Retriever DVDs.

2) A biometric lock that does fingerprints would be a bit hard without having one of those dedicated readers. I doubt capacitive touchscreens are fickle enough to read your fingerprints, at the moment anyway

4) They did that with the 5, didn't they?

5) Sorry, but I cannot help you in this area of the world

1) Using the Phone as a wallet and specifically NFC is dependent on merchants, not Apple. At this point merchants want you using their app for purchases where you preload money into it -- that way they have your money before you've actually purchased anything.

3) I don't get the obsession with battery life. My job has me on the road about a week a month, resulting in very heavy phone use. It takes a lot of use to burn through the battery, and even when I do, I've never had a problem finding an outlet for a quick charge. If you're really draining your battery all the time, something is not right with your phone.

4) The buds that come with the iPhone 5 are a good improvement, but you know, there's nothing to stop you from buying third party earbuds if you're looking for a specific design.
