It's not childish. Fox News said what the GOP was the right thing and MSNBC said what the Democrats did was the right thing. The only people who were acting childish were the moderates for believing compromise is an important part of Democracy.

Clearly, both sides are in the wrong, and I'm certain you'll bring that up with the Republican congressman you vote for next time you see him/her.

You can whine about MSNBC, but they're just cheerleaders. Fox actually serves up disinformation; you actually become less correct about issues the more you watch it.

Democracy requires an independent, effective media to inform the public. By accepting even "cheerleader news", democracy is weakened.

Bah, evaluating positions individually would involve work and thinking about things. It's much easier to just pretend that splitting the difference between two sides always makes you morally correct.

Epoch_Zero: You've missed his point.

That Congress(and politics) in general has become intransigent due to increased outside pressure to not compromise with the opposing side, and they that pressure is magnified by the two wings of each party for the last decade. This intransigence has become so ingrained in the system that staffers are now unable work either other staffers because appearing to work with the other side makes them appear traitorous. And while Republicans in the 112th Congress have been the main force for this regression, both sides hold blame in it. So when one says that one media is worse than the other so the lesser of two evils is okay, that person cares less about the future of America and more about the future of their agenda.

Not to mention msnbc has a much smaller audience. It also leans left, whereas Fix is the bullhorn for the GOP. Really, Goebbels would cream his pants if he had a Fox News at his disposal.

Both sides are bad is a perfectly justifiable position, but this expression of it does puzzle me.

If you've got shiat A and shiat B what sort of centrist math do you have to do where you can add those together and get nonshiat C?

Remember folks, it's totally Congress' fault that the American primary election voting block is increasingly becoming more polarized by pundits, leading to polarized candidates, which leads to polarized Congressman, which leads to a polarized Congress. But it's all the fault of the GOP and Fox.

So the fact that cap gains rates also went up and we returned the missing 2% to the payroll tax revenues, the estate tax returned (though at a laughable threshhold - what, it can apply to something like 100 families, if their head-of-house dies this year?) - all of that means nothing because the lowest four tiers of income tax rates were permanently lowered?

These two sentences alone should remove all doubt that the House Republicans of the 111th and 112th congress are the vilest, most evil pieces of inhuman shiat to ever walk the face of the Earth.

If you don't have anything of value to add, you really shouldn't. No one is arguing the left isn't without their detractors, but name ANYONE on the left as insidious as Rush Limbaugh, Sean Hannity or Breitbart's zombie empire... you can't. Thanks for playing, now go sit in the corner while adults talk.

I will end up with $100 or more less per month due to the failure to continue the Social Security deductions. They should have raised the ceiling on paying Social Security from 113k to 2 billion.

/ no problems using govt to make rich people pay since they do not want me to benefit directly from increasing their bottom line.
