Heh... Cincinnati was one 11 minutes behind. It was embarrassing, and I think the last time we tried a NYE celebration that was not on Fountain Square.

What a cluster f*ck.

The longer it went on, the harder I laughed. What a complete mess.

Well...  yeah.  Do you expect anything other than complete failure when Jamie Kennedy is involved?

Still more professional than whatever Eric Andre was doing.

/are Heidecker and Wareheim remaking [adult swim] in their own image?

Oh my God. The credits list included "WRITERS"

WhoTF is Jamie Kennedy? It looked like a whole bunch of nobodies to me. I wonder how many people got fired for producing that mess.

Such production values, my junior high AV club could do a better job.

2013-01-02 12:01:27 PM
But I would watch it for 2014, though. Doesn't have to be 100% primo pure to be entertaining.

What's your name?
-I'm his mother.

The whole thing is worth watching just for that.

KDOC was the home station of Gene Scott and Wally George. I see the quality hasn't changed since their deaths.

LOL- if I was in the truck or studio, I would have asked the producer to take my name out of the credits.

I hope heads rolled after that debacle. And what a collection of utterly unlikable tv personalities.

All of the producers who are actually competent at their jobs will have enough clout to get New Year's Eve off work Then you end up with the D-List crew to produce your crappy show.

KDOC is a local backwater station; it always has been.

These E level "celebrities" troll for attention in any venue they can. If it weren't for this show, you'd only find them at swap meets, quinceañeras, (not a lot of bar/bat mitzvahs in OC), and mall kiosks.

He is hilarious.

Blast from the past!  I haven't thought of him in decades.  His show was actually syndicated on some very low-rent station in Chicago in the 90s.

True.

But I did end up watching a few reruns of Law and Order: Criminal Intent because of the sexy voice of one of their mid show announcers. The Indian/British girl some months back that added a bunch of r's in everything she said.

"Hallo Las Angeeles! Next we have another stunning Lawr and Order. Coming up on KDOC, Las Angeeles"

"We'll see you in 2024 BYYYYYE!"

Yeah, cause that is the next time that group of morons will be allowed to do anything that will be aired on television.

Hearing Wally Georges name brought back memories of the 80's growing up in LA. And cocaine. Lots of cocaine.

Gene Scott the morning after the above...and his chalkboard. Oh, the guilt..of not having a farking clue of what the hell the ultimate message was supposed to be.

Wally George was the inspiration of the modern ultra-right rabble-rousing "talk show". He'd have people on his show just to silence them and throw them off just for the ratings and trolling the OC zombie conservatives.

Ana Rosales at 2:20. Dang.

I love it how they left in the final credits to let everyone know how was responsible for this disaster.

I miss anything-can-happen live local TV. Those local hosts setting up public-domain cartoons weren't exactly great, but something was lost when they all started showing the same pokeymans every other station was showing.

2013-01-03 11:02:01 AM
I've had nightmares about work that were less brutal than that.

Looks like the kind of production that a bunch of kids would have put on. Kids from places like Full Fail and a couple other schools.

I distinctly remember the pictures of Ronald Reagan and the space shuttle behind him....and the crowd chanting "USA! USA! USA!"
