If the Republicans can't get rid of Boehner after more than four hours, they should consult a physician.

The neo-GOP is far too obvious about being out for no one but themselves.

So house republicans have refused over and over to specify what they want to cut and complain that there are no cuts. Well here is your chance you farktards. It drives me insane thinking that this BS doesn't have consequences at the ballot box.

Specifically, Obamacare and PBS/NPR

/and more tax cuts for the rich

The country is screwed. The economy will tank, and the ignorant Bible-thumping gun nut who will lose jobs will still blame Obama.

Even if we resurected Sherman and Patton to slap the Tea Party silly, and threw in Jesus and the Second Coming, they wouldn't recognize culpability.

They have been for years. The difference now is that the American public is finally realizing it. Fox News only has so many viewers. Everyone else is all, "Wow, these guys are assholes."

Obama is to blame, for he believes that all the money in Amerika belongs to the government. When in reality the government are just leaches living off of the hard work of others. I personally pay ≈ 50% of all the monies I earn, I earn not the government.  Now the leaches want more. At some point it is advantages for me to stop earning, for it costs more to work than it is worth.

No one that refers to the US as "Amerika" is likely to contribute anything meaningfully to the discussion.

Wow. Cantor's smirk says it all.

So quit your job and start collecting some of that sweet unemployment and food stamps loot.  You know how much better the abject poor have it than you do, so why not?

It looks like Boehner is trying to save face - coming out against the bill in complete lockstep with Cantor.

@DarrellIssa on @CNNSitRoom seemingly on same page as Boehner/Cantor, inclined to vote against bill, says it doesn't address spending

Let's just say that he has brought a lot more to all of us than the entire 113th Congress.

2013-01-01 06:37:41 PM
Goddammit... That's 112th Congress. I think I've made that mistake twice today.

2013-01-01 06:39:41 PM
"Speaking of Republicans in the House, I've watched with interest what's happening to the revolt against Gingrich. Two problems--and I know something about revolts [having been elected minority leader when the Young Turks ran him against Charles Halleck in 1965]: Number one, you can't beat an incumbent with four candidates. You have to have one unified opponent to the incumbent. You get four, you spread the effort, there aren't enough votes. Number two, you should never challenge an incumbent party leader in the middle of a session. You should do it after an election or before--at the time the parties organize-- so you're focusing on that issue.

"That's what we did: we all agreed I would be the candidate: [Mel] Laird and [Charles] Goodell and [Don] Rumsfelt and [Al] Quie wouldn't be competing candidates, and they'd all vote for me. And we did it after the 1964 debacle when the Republicans were organizing [the new Congress], so that the only issue was whether you wanted new leadership or not. It wasn't all involved in who's gonna be for tax cuts or who's gonna be for this or that."

President Gerald R. Ford, quoted in Thomas M. DeFrank's Write It When I'm Gone

Looks like Cantor paid some attention.

Been out of work before, lived in a Salvation Army Drop box in the dead of winter in Michigan, I still never took government aid, it is immoral. In order to give to someone the leaches must  steal from someone else. The reason is to get votes from the free loaders and bleeding hearts. And have no doubt ALL the elected thieves care about are votes. And by the by I KNOW I donate more time and money in one year than your hero Al Gore has donated in the last 15 years.
