Diet Cherry Vanilla Dr. Pepper is among recent drinks I miss. It can be recreated somewhat with cherry and vanilla syrup dispensers in some soda machines.

But from my childhood in the 80s, NY Seltzer, root beer flavor, went awesome with Italian grub. Though I remember getting it in little bottles in LA.

They still make this one. It's hard to find though.

I sometimes forget how lucky we are to have a Double-Cola bottler in town. Ski is available practically everywhere around here (and Cherry Ski is one of the finest carbonated beverages ever conceived).

Oh, I used to love that stuff. I also remember the smaller bottles in the Bay Area, don't ever recall seeing it in regular cans.

When I was little, my neighbor's dad would sit outside and drink a 12 pack of that stuff a day while watching over us. I think he might of had a preoblem.

This thread takes me down memory lane. Aspen and Apple Slice, particularly. Hadn't thought of those in 20 or more years. Not like I'd expect to reminisce on old sodas...

As for the Pepsi Holiday Spice, I never had it, but I would expect it is their version of julmust, which is horrible stuff. The Scandinavians love it, but they also hate root beer, I have a theory that if you love root beer, you'd hate julmust.

Incredible mixed with whiskey

This is as good of a thread as any. About 15 years ago I was in the UK and came across a pretty good soda. Had 3 flavors I remember- orange, lemon, and apple and the can had a black background. Anyone over in that neck of the woods know what I'm talking about? Heading back over for a business trip next month and I'm trying to make a list of all the stuff I experienced when I was a kid.

...but since people who can't stand coffee likely aren't too big on soda either...

Every time I wake up and pop the top on a Coke, I imagine myself leading the life a punk would envy. Then I make my commute and put my nose to the grindstone. I got Jackie Onassis in my pants.

King Cola. Nuff said.

And then there's Old Tyme Jamaican-style ginger beer...:sigh:

Ugh, if you're going to remove my images, don't still submit the post....

I remember marathon video gaming sessions while drinking a Mountain dew like drink that I thought was named Surge. It had bits of what I thought was guarana fruit floating in it and was hugely caffeinated. Am I thinking of the right name for it? It was an awesome drink.

I can't find a picture of it, but they used to make a Mandarin Orange variety of Slice (not just "orange"). God, that stuff was pure ambrosia.

I remember that. It was gorgeous...

Loved this stuff as a kid. Still do. I can still drive across the border to Louisiana and get it on occasion. Most states don't sell it anymore, something about the red dye being dangerous.
