I don't know subby, my imagination is pretty expansive...

With that said, I can never understand why cookbooks still sell when you can find a recipe for almost anything on the internet.

The book can't be more annoying than that article.

FTA: Last spring, after a particularly grueling schedule and lapse of overindulgence, Gwyneth Paltrow was feeling fatigued and faint. A visit to her doctor revealed that she was anemic, vitamin D deficient, and that her stress levels were sky high. He prescribed an elimination diet to clear out her system and help her body heal. But this meant no coffee, no alcohol, no dairy, no eggs, no sugar, no shellfish, no deep-water fish, no wheat, no meat, no soy, nothing processed at all!

I'm no expert, but if she is anemic (lacking in iron) and vitamin D deficient... Would an elimination diet increase those things?

Common Sense?

All that article did is give the cookbook free publicity.

All this Fark thread did was give a bunch of free page clicks to an article that exists to give a cookbook some free publicity.

All this post did was to give me something to whine like a little biatch about.

I tend to agree, but my wife likes cookbooks. She reads them as if they were novels. They give her ideas. When I want a recipe, I google it.

Books are better in the kitchen than tablets/PCs.

I actually enjoy her existence. Martha Stewart was attainable now and then, but Gwyneth's attempt at building a lifestyle brand is just hilarious. At least the cookbook by the guy in Norway that features ingredients scavenged from local fields has an excuse for being so ridiculous.

I never actually read any Gwyneth Paltrow articles when they come up. I just ignore all that shiat and think of all the wonderfully depraved things I would love to do with her.

There is something going on with our food as I have been feeling sick for years and trying to figure it out going to Doctors changed Doctors after I got my blood test results to put in my file at home and noticed my vit D was below 19 for the last 3 years I have been going to him and he never said anything! But even after getting that up felt bad stopped gluten/wheat and feel great! I'm not alergic just does not agree with me to the point that I had a piece a cheeze pizza yesterday and my gut felt like it was on fire, happens every time I eat a good amount of wheat.
The more our food is being geneticaly altered the more people are having alergic or problems with it.

Meh. It's just an Oscar. Besides, Saving Private Ryan is already hailed as a modern classic. (Oh, look, it's a veteran's/military holiday. Break out SPR on TNT, Spike, AMC, USA and Discovery Military!) Shakespeare in Love is just a cute but forgettable romantic comedy that will be lucky to be remembered in another generation, if that.

Then you have never been in a Paltrow thread before. It is getting to be a trite, although apt, criticism of her.

And if you need vitamins, they have these crazy things, vitamins in pill form. Multiples of them, if you will.

Troof. "Best Picture" is usually not the best film of the year, it's the movie people in Hollywood would like to see win Best Picture. Same goes for all the Oscars.

Case in point: Sharlto Copley,(Wickus Van de Merwe) who nobody in Hollywood has heard of, wasn't even nominated for District 9. Penn deserved to win, but Copley deserved a nod.

I'm actually a fan of Alton Brown's cook books. Specifically because they're about how to cook, not about recipes. He'll spend 8 pages describing how deep frying or roasting or steaming affects the food and then 2 pages showing a couple of example recipes that use that type of cooking.

Recipe books... yeah I have no clue why people buy those when Google and Youtube exist.

We give Obama ownership of plenty. That does not mean that GWB stain is still seen on large parts of our economy, foreign policy, etc. If you can not see that, you might not be retarded, but you are definitely a shill.
