IMHO, list fails without the "Fark everything" story they ran just after Newtown (NSFW language obviously)   it was one of their finer moments, and kinda reminded me of their brilliant post-9/11 issue

I came here to say "was that just every single Onion article from 2012", but you're right.  That was every one except for the best.

i grew up in the midwest reading the onion, and if i had come across this anywhere else, i would have thought it real.

Looks like they scanned the past couple months for 90% of their top stories of the year, with a few older ones to make it look good
