(New York Daily News)   Hannity lost half his audience in the wake of Obama's victory as his audience acknowledges that ideologically friendly media inaccurately informed them about the 2012 election with Hannity and most guests predicting a landslide loss for Obama   (nydailynews.com) divider line 153

BS he lost half his audience?  or BS he lost them because they don't like being told fairy tales?

Hannity should lose his whole audience, but there's enough stupid people he still has a program. 1.5 million stupid people.

Much like I listen to NPR, I occasionally listen to Rush and Hannity. All three are shameless shills, but NPR does it with more class. All three are full of crap.

Hannity hasn't lost enough audience to change his show's availability and there are plenty of people to watch it still.

Which part do you find inaccurate? The fact that Hannity lost a large portion of his audience, the fact that Mitt Romney lost the presidential election or the fact that Hannity and Friends predicted a landslide victory?

No. Nobody listens to Rush and Hannity "like I listen to NPR". It uses different parts of the brain.

Rush is a self-aggrandizing gasbag and a purveyor of hate. I can't listen to more than 30 seconds of his lip-flapping without wishing an asteroid would suddenly obliterate the city he's sitting in.

No, but not democrat either. I really hate the term liberal or conservative as a party. Both sides disgust me.  I vote all over the map. I'm an not associated with either party.  I am also part of those the govt says isn't looking for work, because we don't get benefits. I worked for 30 years for a company. I'm still looking, but I am too old or not cute. Lol.  10.4 unenployment here. Neither side has an answer.

NPR has some good stuff, but it is political. So yes full of crap. Not as bad as conservative radio, but just as fun.

No not really  shadow knight.

No both sides are liars. I don't buy into either side. But hey you might. So label me, it is your right.

Strangely, older does not always mean wiser. NPR has about the least amount of bias as any American news agency. It's just that the Right has skewed the truthfulness of political news so much that everything that tries to stick to facts looks lopsided.

the ratings are skewed. if you were to unskew them, you'd find that while his numbers have dropped in america, they have risen dramatically in canada and australia, where all the real americans have moved to in order to go galt until the usurper in chief is out of power.

Mr. Coffee Nerves: They spelled "Blames ACORN, voter fraud (voting while melanin-enhanced), and Obamaphone magnetic fields scrambling voting machines to turn all Romney votes to Obama votes" wrong.

Then add in that most of the Ohio voting machines were made my a company owned in large part by Bain Capital and really confuse the story.

I actually enjoy when these right-wing nuts like rush or sean or glen get more and more extreme. It means they have to appeal to an ever shrinking audience who believes in the more extremists views.

It means they're losing.

Sean Hannity finally making good on his word. But, that would be like him not stealing money from his charities, he's just not capable of it.

This. And they really are tired of it. I think it really started with Glenn Beck and his 'Leave your church if it preaches social justice' comment. Even hard core conservatards started to realize they were either being trolled or something was very, very wrong with the ideological underpinnings.

2012-12-31 01:00:23 PM
It couldn't be that the Republicans lost the election so there isn't much to talk about.

I imagine the post game show ratings are much lower for say a football game when the 'home team' loses.

I listen to NPR every day, in my car, and sometimes stream the music shows like World Cafe on my stereo at home. It is a quality station that has gotten a bad name from the idiots on the right who lie to their viewers. You are buying into their lies by claiming that oft-sought-after pedestal of "I'm not partisan dude!" Trotting out your age doesn't change that. GOOD DAY TO YOU SIR.

/off to listen to car talk

You do realize that NPR listeners consistently score highest when it comes to factual questions about reality, right? PBS and The Daily Show also score very high, whereas Fox scores lowest. For a biased network (and yes there is some in their editorial shows) they seem able to convey factual reality better than anyone else.

Hannity has the most punchable face of ALL TIME.

For that matter, pretty much every Republican has a very punchable face. I think their features get warped by ignorance and hate.

2012-12-31 01:06:33 PM
I actually can listen to Rush without wanting to punch a baby - something about his constant angry ranting is hilarious. it's also a bit like nascar - just waiting for the day he finally gets too excited and pops an artery.

Hannity is unbearable though. i can't take more than a minute of his constant incessant whining, liberal media hate and Palin worship. That and his unhealthy obsession with blaming Obama every 15 seconds for something. I think he's harboring a serious man-crush and trying to mask some latent desires with anger.

My right wing friends are forever making statements about how MSNBC "tells lies and is therefore an illegitimate news source" but they'll defend Fox with their dying breath.

Then they totally face planted on election night.

Strangely, with a few of them, the MSNBC insults have ceased. However, they've shifted the narrative to voter fraud, the Liberal media that won't say anything against Obama and non-whites wanting free stuff.

Conservatives...everything that is wrong with the United States right now.

NPR has a consistent anti-rape, anti-murder, anti-injustice bias. Bias is not necessarily a bad thing.

This is why "The Hitch" is a legend.

God is dead. Hitch dead Hannity still has a voice.
