Whiskey hold the coffee. It's the real breakfast of champions.

Why would you ruin a perfectly good oatmeal stout like that?

That might improve some oatmeal stouts. But defiling a FW brew like that is sacrilegious.

Revolution Brewing in Chicago does a coffee porter that is incredible. It's simultaneously an amazingly good porter with the flavor of a perfect cup of coffee. I had it in the late summer but when I was there last month it was not available. I hope it's something they do regularly because I will go back for it.

Chocolate stouts are excellent with vanilla ice cream.

I realize my last post may not be obvious, but Revolution's coffee porter is a porter made with coffee, not a porter with notes of coffee. Carry on.

Lame poseurs. When you grow up go for the gusto, a line of cocaine mixed with heroin.

I agree with the brewing the beer with coffee, not adding it afterwards. This is what I am drinking tonight :)

Short's Cup A Joe Coffee Creme Stout

I would always put espresso shots in my stout. It's fantastic... except for the resulting temperature.

Hence the cold brew. It's concentrated so more like espresso than a cup of coffee and it stores well in the fridge for a week.

Just discovered Winter Grind, it's brilliant.

So far all of my light beer drinking friends (who like coffee) have been turned to the dark side by it.

Dunno what their distribution area looks like, but its worth hunting for.

I'm not a big fan of that particular one, but I do like many things that get put out by Phillip's.

Are you near Victoria, or do they have wider distribution than I'm aware of?

Avery in Boulder has one of these in their tap room right now. They described it as their regular stout blended with a cold coffee toddy. I loved it, but I like coffee and stouts. The hubby wasn't a fan.

LOL, yes! Despite his questionable taste in beverages, he's still pretty awesome.
