How is Hologram Tupac a Hall of Shame inductee???

And Chris Brown is a sucker and a fool for juggling two women (Rih Rih the drunk and Kuchi the beard), but if he's Shame material so is The Fivehead Alien Curry Goat.

Chris Brown is indefensible no matter the context. He beat a woman to pulp and he's out thre capatilizing off of it. That's shameful.
It's not the Tupac hologram that's lame, it's Snoop and Dre bringing him out that's lame.

I thought the part about Chris Brown getting the photo of his beat up girlfriend tatted on his neck was hype. But god damn it, he really did it. There is no question.

I discontinued my SPIN magazine subscription about a year ago. Long story short, too much hipster and not enough good music. It wasn't all terrible, the concert photos were great and enthusiasm for music was definitely there, but their obsession with twee indie shiat made by awkward guys in weird beards got old fast.

Is the demise of Spin's print edition really "fail" or just the result of a changing marketplace and the growing pains of the print industry as it struggles to remain relevant in the digital age?

Personally I think the only fail here is that Spin still sells enough adspace presumably in its web presence to remain in operation and is still putting out lists like this. Bear in mind in true Fark tradition I didn't read TFA so I'm not even driving up their ad click rates etc.

The Black Sabbath "Reunion" By some miracle, every original member of Black Sabbath is still alive. But fans didn't get the reunion tour the band promised because of a contract dispute involving Bill Ward. As a result, "Ozzy and Friends" headlined Lollapalooza without their original drummer, and then engaged in some revisionist history by pretending Ward never existed to begin with.

Alright, that last part was pretty damn classless, but I think Geezer and especially the guitar god who pretty much invented heavy metal's sound, and has been the only person to be in every Sabbath lineup, qualify as more than just Ozzy's "friends". Tony especially as he's doing this while battling lymphoma. Three out of four original members is better than a lot o "bands" do, like GnR or Smashing Pumpkins even though this article seems to judge it closer to those.

/Original lineup Ozzfest=greatest musical experience of my youngish life

Does Rolling Stone or NME still sell? Not looking up the figures and I have no idea, but that might answer your question.

If you Google "Trying too hard", you'll find Kreayshawn near the top of the list.

Rest assured that even if she goes away, we still have Kitty Pryde to fill in the role of "Obnoxious White girl that can't rap".

It was a prime example of "if ain't broke, don't fix it". I liked Spin the way it was, until they changed into that god-awful giant tabloid format and started catering to hipster douchebags, as if the world needed a print version of Pitchfork or Stereogum.

That was my experience with SPIN magazine..page after page of "Who the fark are these people and why should I care?" Out of curiosity I did check out a few samples of some of the hipster acts they were pushing...not impressed.

Well...bye, SPIN.

IIRC their paper readership is down, though it sounds like a lot of their online stuff makes up for it sufficiently that they are at least keeping print editions alive if for no other reason than tradition.

Bear in mind I was trying to make a snarky "lol who still reads Spin" joke post mostly.

I never liked Lita Ford. Her music sucked and I saw an interview with her once where she came across as a total dumbass...a typical southern California rawker chick who sounded like a female version of Butthead.

She looked good, but brought little else to the table. Plus she was married to Chris Holmes for a while, so how bright could she be with that track record?

He should have done jail time for the assault or at least the slew of chimpouts (nightclub brawls, trashing the set of Good Morning America) after he skated on the domestic violence charge.

No, singing "One" with U2 or doing duets with Elton John is "expanding her audience". Shilling cheap fast food in commercials is called "desperate" and "sad".
