That true, Mike. I don't remember the last team that put up a 9-6 record. Truly one-of-a-kind!

This isn't basketball. One player isn't a team.

RG3 is Randal Cunningham-lite.

He's been good this year, but I want to see how he plays next year when defenses have a year of tape and an off-season to gameplan for him

/see Sam Bradford, Cam Newton

Hey, I know that RG3 is magic, but he's still playing in the same league as Peyton Manning, so let's not get too big for our britches, ok?

2012-12-30 05:59:24 PM
Then he benched Alfred Morris for Keiland Williams.

2012-12-30 06:13:34 PM
He's paler than he used to be, which is unfortunate since shanahan red would really compliment the Redskins' uniforms.

His replacement at Baylor got more passing yards than RGIII did last year.

I like Shanny. But this is the guy that said Brian Griese was as talented as Joe Montana.

So yeah...Mike's known to slobber over his QB from time to time.

Funny Mike Vick was supposed to be a superstar for year but even before he got caught being a dick he was sucking. Defenses adjust and read tendencies unless he rgIII changes his game he will get killed next year.

I'm worried about the Shannahanigans getting Bobby Three Sticks murdered calling too many runs but RG3 is an accurate passer and can presnap read defenses both of which are huge in the NFL. Vick can run fast, spread herpes and kill dogs. Big difference between the two.

Damn, a few minutes too late. We'll see who wins next week; that is, of course, if RGIII doesn't gimp out tonight. He looked funny-legged last week.

Romo is not good in big games.  for all intense and purposes, this is essentially a playoff game and romo is already choking.

Yeah, so far those picks haven't cost them anything. Except maybe getting into Romo's head.

RGIII doesn't look good.

His knee is really slowing him down.

Nobody feels worse about how this season went than Andy Reid. He's gotta do a better job. Make that he's gotta find a better job.

I will never understand why they put him in immediately after his injury. This guy IS the franchise. He's more important than limping into the playoffs (no pun intended).

he doesn't have a nickname espn can market the shiat out of. Everytime I hear "rg3" I want to punch skip bayless in the cock.

also, I heard this same shiat about Cam Newton, Mike Vick, tebow, luck, etc. Everytime a rookie has a good year (or a fark ton of espn hype) this shiat gets said.

SuperT: he doesn't have a nickname espn can market the shiat out of. Everytime I hear "rg3" I want to punch skip bayless in the cock.

But he's RW3.

30 TD overall, rookie record for passing TD, better team record - had a similar WR corps and actually, Morris ran for more yards than Lynch did, so claims that RGIII doesn't have as much talent around him, at least on offense, are ridiculous.

But hey, his team only got him in the 3rd round instead of spending several years' worth of draft picks for him, so clearly RGIII was better.

2012-12-31 01:47:05 AM
So. Um. RGIII won again tonight. Knee looked fine.

Now what?

Russell Wilson couldn't shine RG3's shoes.

Mark Ratner: Russell Wilson couldn't shine RG3's shoes.

Why would he want to?

2012-12-31 02:02:50 AM
RW3 played 7 games against Top 8 pass defenses and ONE against a Bottom-8 pass defense (by passer rating against).

RGIII played 2 games against Top 8 pass defenses and SIX against Bottom-8 pass defenses.

(8 is used because it's 1/4 of the league). If you'd like to make it more exclusive, we can go top-4/bottom-4: RGIII played 0 games against top-4 defenses; RW3 played four such games. RW3 played one game against a bottom-4 defense; RGIII played four such games.)

I don't think anyone's asking him to. Aaron Rodgers isn't shining Alex Smith's shoes, either.

Well, at least RGIII will have a chance to actually beat a team in the top half of the league in pass defense for the first time in the playoffs.

Cousins has done it twice. RGIII has done it zero times.

/RW3 has done it seven times

I'm more interested in seeing how the Hawks do on the road.

Should be just fine. BTW, what QB has the highest QBR on the road since Week 8? None other than Russell Wilson. Don't think that the Seahawks aren't good on the road simply because they're the best team in the NFL at home. Stop buying the media's idiotic myth that they can't play on the road - most of their road games came early in the season before they let Wilson run the offense.

Oh, you're worried about the dimension of the mobile QB? Cam Newton put up 6 points (INT return was their other 6). Kaepernick put up 6 points (well, and 7 after the game was over).

Whether or not I buy into any media myth, playing on the road against playoff caliber teams is always a crapshoot. I'm just as curious about the Colts as I am the Seahawks.

Good news for Seahawks: When the game against the team from east of the Mississippi is the 4 pm game, they're 2-0 on the road. When the game against the team from on or east of the Mississippi is the 1 pm game, they're 1-3 on the road.

/other road games were TNF vs SF and a 4 pm game but it was in AZ so it wasn't weirdly out of place...also, it was Week 1

Newton was okay, but not mind-blowing as he was in the first year. He should figure it out.

Bradford was bad from Day 1, and the only reason he's still the Rams' QB is because of his contract. Colt McCoy played arguably better than he did in those first two years, and he got dumped for Grampa Weeden.

Got it. You could, but you either won't because you are lazy or you are just an Indy-fanboy with a unique kind of turrets where you spout off random claims about your team with nothing to back it up.

/I once saw a picture on the Internet of the Manning brothers Eiffel Towering midfield with Betty White.
