She's still around? Thought she'd been permanently swept away in the Taylor Swift/Carly Rae Jepsen/PSY/Beiber tsunami....

These are Quinn's remains. He had many brushes with death, and now he sits atop Lady Gaga's keyboard at the show I went to. While I was there, there was this unfortunate black man who put his head in a golf ball dimpler. I heard he put a Best Buy manager through a store wall because he was offered a warranty on a cordless phone. At the time, I was working for the US Mint, so I was getting a kick out of these replies. Because some Farkers will believe anything they hear.

FTFA:

"At the BornBrave Bus you have access to professional private or group chats about mental health, depression, bullying, school & friends.

"There will also be food and games... BornBrave Bus  Is a place where mental health + depression are taken seriously (with) no judgement,  Free real help available to all.

"I feel like most kids don't look for help because they feel embarrassed so mom +  I wanted to break the stigmas around 'help' and make it fun."

Sounds like Gaga is actually trying to offer a free service to her fans who might be too embarrassed to seek help through the normal channels.

Haters are still going to hate I guess.

I know nothing about this lady beyond what I have seen of a photo here or there. Have no idea what her music sounds like. I am absolutely deliberately ignorant of many things and she fits the bill of the sorts of things that I am. But I have no problem with this and think it's a great idea.

Yeah, this is a really classy move by her. She's a good person; she's just weird as all hell is all.

Gosling: Yeah, this is a really classy move by her. She's a good person; she's just weird as all hell is all.

The other thing

+1 awesome points to her. Sounds like she actually cares about her fans. Many other top names in the industry, for example Axl Rose, couldn't give a shiat if their entire audience blows their brains out at their shows, as long as they don't get the cost of cleanup deducted from ticket sales. Refreshing to hear about class acts like Gaga and Dave Grohl actually being human to their fans.

The bands that came up in the 80's TV-through-the-hotel-window era of rock and roll, yeah, a lot of them never have given much of a shiat. The bands that have come up in the last 5 years or so tend to be a lot more well-behaved. You don't hear of too many drug-addled hazes backstage these days.

Well, that's just my Generation X. Honestly, while there are some things I admire about Generation Y one thing that bugs me is that I think they are way too tame. I wish they would get angry more; there are things worth getting angry about. Overprotected IMO.

And Gaga is not weird....she is crazy....like a fox. She will wind up doing my actual good with her life than a football team of ministers and politicans.

She does a piano version of "Edge of Glory" that is absolutely amazing.

It's actually a song about her grandfather dying.

The woman is a VERY talented singer songwriter, shes honest and genuine, has a beautiful voice and she actually cares about her fans, as this action in the article shows.

I didn't give a shiat about her one way or the other until I heard her interviewed on the stern show. Now I love her, if not her pop music.

I'm going to see her in Chicago on Henry Rollins' birthday. I do hope she does some SOA covers as a tribute.

No, but the thread with the piano and the remains was hilarious.

Yeah, she seems pretty cool, and listening to the lyrics of 'Born This Way', it sounds like she's really singing TO her fans, about things like bullying, self confidence, and liking yourself for who you are. I don't really listen to her music, but there are a lot of things about her I admire. The whole "personas" thing is a little old, but I'm not going to hold that against her, she really comes across as a truly nice person.

Wow what an exploitative gimmick. There is next to nothing that counseling can achieve under the conditions described. Tailgate with counseling yeah that will work. Its just another case of a celebrity trying to look like they are doing something while actually making the situation worse.
