They both can kiss my ass so somewhere around zero.

It's a foregone conclusion.  It snowed here, and if we know anything about Fins-Pats games in Foxborough, it's that Pats + snow = Fins going clownshoes.

Which, oddly enough, is equal to the number of Alabama and Cowboy stickers I have on my car.

Question's gonna be if the Pats get a bye week.

So, through all of that... you are predicting the NY Giants make the playoffs...

Intriguing.

"Holy crap, that flowchart is confusing. All I care about is who's in and who's out. Make it simple, goddammit."

Fine, here is what I call a priority list. Check off the things that do happen. The top two things that happen get that team into the playoffs.

1. Washington win/tie
2. Dallas win
3. Minnesota win
4. Chicago win
5. Minnesota tie
6. Chicago tie
7. Washington loss
8. NY Giants win
9. Minnesota loss

As one of 1 & 2 is guaranteed to happen, whichever is the highest on the list of 3-9 is the only one that gets into the postseason.

I've really slacked off on my picks for 2-3 weeks now.....which always happens.  the start of the year we're so football starved it is all we live for, then december rolls around and you have parties to go to and play rehearsals and blah-dy blah-dy blah-dy and you forget about the saturday game and then you don't follow as much as you thought you would.  anyways.

@ Rough Buff -3.5     NYJ 39
Gonna say Rough Buff outright, who has been farking me all year and will thus, do so again.  Gotta think Sanchez is praying for a playbook consisting of nothing but handoffs (commence Buttfumble jokes).

@ NE  -10     Miami     46.5
NE outright.  I think they're playing for a bye and i think Belichick wants to get his team in playoff mode by destroying a team and getting the eye of the tiger.

@ CIN -3     BAL 42.5
Huh......Gonna say CIN outright.  Should be a great game.

@ PIT -9.5     CLE 36
Gonna pick a CLE cover.

HOU -6     @ IND 47
each is 6-1 respectively, home v otr.  gonna pick IND to win this one outright.  moneyline, baby.  i just dn't beleive in Houston and I think IND is going to be jacked for the finale off of an inexplicable season.  from "suck for luck" to a playoff berth.  and the pagano thing.

@TEN -5     JAX 42
ehhh....TEN outright.  who cares.

@ NYG  -7     PHI 44.5
ehhh.......PHI is awful, but I don't like the number.  as bad and as dysfunctional and as "dead man walking" PHI is, vick and andy, the Giants are also pretty suspect.  I don't see why they should get 7 so I'll say PHI cover is the smart play.

@ WAS-3     Dallas     49.5
hmmm......I want the  NFC East winner to finish 9-7 so I guess that means I want Dallas but the RGIIII thing would be cool in the playoffs. I guess I'll pick Dallas to cover but secretly, I think they win outright.

CHI -3     @ DET Detroit     46
is there a way the Bears can make the playoffs?  I really don't care but I see a slew of 9 win teams.  I think this should be higher so Bears outright.

GB -3.5     @ MIN 45.5
it would be cool if AP gets the record just so eric dickerson can shut his yapper.  GB outright.

@ ATL -3.5     TB 46
ATL is locked in their seed i believe, so they'll rest, gotta pick TB to cover.  Remember when Josh Freeman was the next big thing?  me neither.

@ NO -4.5     CARO 54
for no reason CARO to cover.  I don't thnk the Payton news affects today's game.  who knows.

@ DEN -16.5     KC 41
wow.  16.5?  Has to be highest of the year.  granted there were weeks i didn't check but.....16.5?  I remember a couple 13s, and I think there was a 15 or 14.5 but....16.5.  and I don't think Denver's seed can change.....but KC really is awful.  while DEN might rest, given how awful KC's year has been, you wonder if they don't just lay down.  Man.  I'm gonna say KC cover.

@ San Dog -8     Oakland     40
San Dog outright.

@ SFO -16.5     ARI 38.5
wow.  two 16.5s is a row!  SFO has some injuries but Arizona's QB was a street FA just three weeks ago.  This is Whiz' last game;  all indications are that it is a fait acompli.  He supposedly has player personnel / quasi GM in his contract, but that has been perhaps his and GM Rod Graves' biggest failing:  player personnel.  the notable example is passing on Adrian Peterson (yeah, that one) to take an OL who has had a decent but not spectacular career (and missed all of this season).  Yeah, there have been some picks that worked out well (Patrick peterson, daryl washington, Calais) but far more "never panned outs" (beanie wells) or glaring non-picks.  so i think that there will be negotations to revise Whiz' contract to remove the personnel, but if Whiz says no, they'll just fire him.  He won't be gone on Bloody Monday but he will be gone by Friday.  Graves I could see being fired tomorrow.  Although actually, since he's so close to the Bidwills, he'll do the honorable thing and resign.

and, with ray horton already on several teams short list (he supposedly crushed his STL interview last year; now, whether that was the Rooney Rule Boogaloo or a legit interview, he supposedly had Rams brass wringing their hands over whether to take him or known commodtiy Jeff Fisher) I have no doubt they will offer him the job.  Question is does he want it?  he's made his NFL bones on defense and that's pretty well shored up.  Fromt he draft to FA to decisions on Wells and a few other second tier players, we're going to task Horton with revamping an offense.  Is he up for that?

anyways.  gonna pick us to cover.

@ SEA -11.5     St. Louis     42.5
STL cover.  these teams are not thaaaaaaaaaaaaat far apart talentwise.  STL has some wins against legit teams but losses to bad teams (and the 45-7 Pats blowout). They can play some ball.  @ SEA is a tough place to play and weather may be a factor, but 11.5?  no.  cover.

I see this Peyton Manning / Papa John "partnership" continues. This business may get out of hand. For all of his affable exterior, Papa John is not a pleasant man. By giving away two million free pizzas and reducing the number of points required for more free pizza, Papa has taken quite a bath this year. I fear that he may have Peyton murdered.

I'm getting cautiously optimistic about the possibility of the Pats getting a bye thanks to a Houston loss... I don't think the Pagano-Luck Colts will have the same cavalier attitude towards meaningless 16th games as the whoever-Manning Colts did.
