Today my dog unearthed a time capsule he buried in the snow yesterday: a stick, two leaves and milk cap. He was thrilled.

How sad is it that this capsule was closed 25 years ago...and all of that stuff doesn't seem all that old?

Oh god...I'm old.

I want to make a time capsule that says "open in 100 years" and inside is a box that says "open in 100 years"...and so on... maybe in the last one have a piece of paper that says "follow instructions from first box".

Kinda the ultimate troll time capsule.

Ah, 1987. Huffing ScotchGard, listening to Master of Puppets ad infinitum and vandalizing churches in Allen, Oklahoma.

Thank God it's over. fark the 80s.

Wasilla Hillbilly: I have an idea for a time capsule that you open immediately. It's a good way to get some cool stuff in a box.

I just read that in Mitch Hedberg's voice.

Actually, she was waiting for the day that you would finally come to that realization.  Congratulations!  You've officially grown up.

Popcorn Johnny: I miss parachute pants.

I thought Fark had an unwritten rule that we were to never mention parachute pants again...

Anyone here remember Jams? At least I think that's what they were called. You know, the obnoxious shorts? I had a few pairs, which I wore with my trusty Air Jordans. I don't know what the hell my mother was thinking, letting me run around looking like a retard. If I ever have kids, the rule is that I'm picking out their clothes until they're 14 or so (not really, but still).

Nothing worth saving came out of the 80s. Well, maybe the cocaine.

They should have filled it with the kind of things that were popular in 1987 that you just can't find today, like a U2 song or that TV show with Betty White or a copy of a really obscure movie from that year that no one every references anymore like The Princess Bride.

Why would you open a time capsule so soon?

/25 years only seems like a long time to an 18 year old.

IN 1985 I had a pair of acid washed Guess jeans that were so tight they split right in the crotch during my senior year of high school.  I was really happy when Bugle Boy ushered in the era of baggy jeans with ridiculous pockets in the midwest.
