I rather suspect that is not indefinite alimony, but a lump sum paid over time to settle all joint financial holdings.

What the fark is up with a guy who is 75 years old chasing around women nearly 60 years his junior?

Sure they look good, but teenagers are farking annoying.  I couldn't stand being around them for more than 5 minutes, let alone feign interest in whatever the fark they care about long enough to bed them.

Oh, CSB time:

My wife and I went to Rome a little while ago, and we unfortunately got stuck in a cab from the airport with a young couple from Houston.

The cabby, making conversation, asked us what Americans think of Italians.  He was under the impression that we think they are all just a bunch of mafia guys.  Berlusconi's financial scandals were spiraling out of control; this was shortly before his resignation, so I mentioned that it was pretty big news in the US and that was probably the biggest Italy news in the US at the time.

Of course, Mr. Republican Houston Guy had to chime in with, "Well, of course in America we have even bigger problems with OUR president, but our media is more interested in talking about scandals of other presidents."

I wanted to answer, "Really?  Obama is notorious for sleeping with underaged women and is about to be arrested for tax evasion, is he?"  But it occurred to me that he probably believed that and worse about Obama, so I just held my tongue and scooted as far over in my seat as possible.

My wife was reading this earlier today and she told me if Berlusconi's outside matched his insides, he'd be fat monster of a human being that sh*ts and vomits all over himself. Granted, she told me this in French so it sounded much more poetic...

Ms Lario left Berlusconi in 2009 after he was seen at the 18th birthday party of an aspiring model, Noemi Letizia.

/Ya, that doesn't look great, but its not like she caught him humping her in a motel. Seriously, just being SEEN around a 18 year old is worth 56 M dollars? That's all she has on him?

Yeah, he's an idiot, but there is NO way she didn't know what kind of guy he was right from the very beginning. They both got what they wanted : She married him for $, and she got it. He married her for hot ass, and got it and then some.

No good guys in this very typical story.

For Silvio, five minutes is about right.

Also, he's a complete twat. I hope his involuntary euro extraction hurts like hell, but it'll probably just make him think "I'm numero uno!"

Since the amount is about six-tenths of one percent of his wealth I don't think he will even notice.

They met in 1980, married in 1990. This isn't just a gold digging whore type deal. Normally I agree with the "The ex is running off with her wealthily husband's money!" but after twenty two years and three kids, I'd say she's basically not going to be able to continue her career where he found her, and she allowed him to make quite a bit more money than he could have if they weren't together. All in all, a fair deal considering the guy is worth approximately $6 billion.

2012-12-28 05:54:44 PM
The average married couple supposedly has sex 58 times a year. Do the math. Never mind, I'll do it for you: $827,586.21.

My wife, who is South American (but also an Italian citizen) is a hairdresser and she told me during the recent election that a few of her clients were telling her they were genuinely frightened of a second Obama term. She (oh so nicely of course, they are clients after all) told them all that they are being ridiculous, and that the United States doesn't have anything to worry about, that her family has seen real political crisis and oppression and their worries are, from the perspective of a foreigner, comically unfounded.

I told her for that much money, she should divorce me and marry Berlusconi. She was not amused.

/my browser's spellcheck wants to change "Berlusconi" to "coniferous". WTF?

2012-12-28 07:38:11 PM
And how much did the lawyers make? Three lowest rungs on the ladder of life: 1. Politicians 2. Media 3. Lawyers. Add fundamentalist religious beliefs, and they don't even make it out of the primordial ooze onto the ladder. fark. Them. All.

Are you trying to tell us that Obama is not in fact a gay muslim athiest kenyan usurper who plans to force us all to have abortions and mandate that we all be sodomized brutally? Well Sir, I won't be drinking any of your lieberal koolaid.
