I think Breitbart was one of the early adopters on this also.

So, a guy that hung around with 12 (or 13) male apostles and 40 male disciples and 1 woman might be suspect? I think not!

Why didn't the censors just play along and act like they gave into the fundies demands? They could give them the same kind of respect that you give your 2-year old for making it through dinner without getting spaghetti in their hair.

Not searching, but surely there's a gay porno with a guy named Jesus.

Good Grief, I remember this one being circulated back in the early 80's in the form of a letter. The gist was the govt was funding a movie showing Jesus to be gay and the plan was for it to be shown in public schools all over the country. (Cited to actual House and Senate bills which were completely unrelated to anything involving such a thing.) Of course, no such legislation every existed.

The letter concluded by telling all those good "Christian" folk out there that if they sent the organization behind the letter some of their hard earned $, they would make certain that the film would never see the light of day and no school children would be forced to watch it.

1. Make up fake movie.
2. Launch campaign to raise funds to lobby to stop said movie.
3. Declare WINNING when no such movie materializes.
4. Profit

I know from going to Easter Mass that Jesus really loved Paul.

He was a 33 year old bachelor in a time when people got married in their early teens.

/Just saying....

I remember seeing this in my church as either a pamphlet or in the actual bulletin.

It was also vaguely tied to Last Temptation of Christ- which was a bad movie...

It's been a long time since I've seen it, but I don't remember it being a bad movie.

I think the more likely theory is that it was the other way around - Paul corrupted Jesus' message with hatred and derp, especially the misogynistic and homophobic stuff, because he had an unrequited boner for Jesus. If Jesus was a real person (can't say either way, but we're talking hypothetically here), he probably was married to Mary Magdalene.

/So sayeth the sanest pastor I've ever met.

Can we arrange for this to be shown at WBC?
