Imagine how much more money we could pocket if we didn't even need to put on a show!

I wish they'd move up here to Salt Lake. People would appreciate them here, and all we have professional is soccer and basketball. The 'Yotes have had some serious talent over the years, and have actually had some good seasons, they just had a bunch of shiathead fans, the kind who like to leave half way through the third period, regardless of the score, a momentum switch, etc. I have looked up on the 3/4 empty arena that was full 15 minutes later, and looked at the clock with close to 10 minutes left on it and wondered how it feels for the team. Arizona fans do it to every single team, and they never really stay to the end of a game. For them, it's not a sporting event, just a place to be seen. It also doesn't help that Az is almost all transient people, who moved from elsewhere and brought their own sports loyalties with them, but still...

That's actually a sound reasonable idea.

/GTFO...we will have none of this on FARK

I live further north than 26 of the 30 NHL arenas here in Portland. Move the Coyotes here already.

/SLC would make a lot more sense than PHX too

I think the same is going on here in Columbus where the team was losing about 10 mil a year.

NHL lockout talk in my business tab?!?!?!???!!!????

Truthfully the most telling line of the article was the part where it said that the owner of the Yotes stands to profit more by there NOT being a season.

This is the greatest part of the problem.

They still will never make as much as the most profitable basketball team in history. The Spirits of St. Louis.

They barely play when there is a season...at least when it comes to the post-season.

I don't understand how there aren't 7k residents outof 226k that want to stop this. They are paying for the coyotes in operate their business in their city and they don't even put the name of the city on the jerseys.
