The person who wrote this article is crazy. The list of things to do with burned out incandescent bulbs has one item. Throw them out. Turning them into Christmas tree ornaments makes you look like a crazy person with old light bulbs on your tree.

Another appropriate use would be to shove them into the rectums of the retards that banned real light bulbs. Once inserted they should be broken.

Or maybe people like you who perpetuate the myth that incandescent bulbs have been "banned"?

Or maybe they could keep the classic incandescents on the shelf? Why not give people options? I personally dont want the higher efficiency incandescents.

That seems like an odd statement. Why would you not want higher efficiency if the output is the same?

Maybe he has the same problem that my parents have with CFLs: they burn out much, much faster than the old incandescents. With the old bulbs, my parents would replace two or three bulbs a year. With CFLs, they're replacing at least one a month. Pisses my mom off no end. They asked an electrician, he said because it's an older-ish house it's probably a wiring issue and they'd need to get the whole place re-wired to fix it...which they can't exactly afford. So, the bulbs are more expensive and they're having to replace them with much greater frequency...yeah, they're really prefer the "less efficient" incandescent bulbs.
