I've heard that, too, but The Rock has this vein of humor beneath everything his does. And that is NOT Reacher. Plus The Rock just isn't...dark enough. Emotionally, I mean. To stay true to Child's character, you need someone that you can see thumbing out someone else's eye just to teach them a farking lesson.

Dennis Haysbert was my other choice. I mean, if Reacher can go from 6'5", 250 to Tom Cruise, no reason why he can't go black.
