That's cosplay I could do without.

Hallmark should offer her a contract to appear in ads. She has a nice Clara Peller vibe to her.

At least she's got a sense of humor about it.

Oh look. It's some old bat in a sweater pretending to be cartoon character that has never once been funny.

Why is she standing where a refrigerator should be?

I figure that when Maxine becomes funny, I should check into a hospice.

There is a lady at "the home" where I work and her sister is a dead ringer for Maxine...
I would take a picture but that whole HIPPA thing and all...

Again, about a week behind Reddit. And it wasn't funny there.

i was outside with the other smokers during a break at the mental health ward of a local hospital. we were outpatients in day therapy. this tall thin spectacled lady in a comical sweater with a tiny dog comes up and starts yakking to us while having her dog do its thing on the lawn. she was a spot-on copy of the Mad TV character played by Mo Collins who would incessantly clear her throat and make bizarre little comments about anything and everything. it was one of those surreal moments in life that i wondered if we were being spoofed and someone had a motion camera on us. then there is the creamy layer of reality that tells me "hey you're a mental health patient, maybe this really isn't as you're perceiving it at all". but it was, it was.
on another break one day i was listening to the car radio and heard Larry the Cable Guy way before I had any clue who he was. evidently he frequently called in and they let him do schtick. i thought he was just a nut on a PA radio station. in a way i was right.

In a related story, I always pictured Maxine as what Mrs. Carmody looked like. I also pictured Cynthia Geary as Amanda and Earl Hindman as Brent.
