sinanju: And they do that in a slide show that won't advance in Chrome on my 7" Galaxy Tab 7 Plus running ICS.

Nice

Is your tablet made of stone? Did Moses carry it down from Mount Sinai?

(Have both an iPad 2 and a Nexus 7. Both are great, though the iPad gets more day-to-day use.)

jonny_q: The Nexus 7 and iPad mini are similar. The iPad has a couple advantages and the Nexus has a couple advantages, but they're about neck and neck. And the iPad is at least $100 more... so the Nexus is by FAR the better value.

Got one for my son for Christmas to replace the old Kindle Fire

I just got one of these (the Nexus) and coming from a Nook Color this thing FLIES. The wifi chip is pretty damn good and gets better DL/UL scores than my laptop. I haven't come across anything yet that makes it even stutter.

My only issue is the lack of an SD slot. I have no idea why they wouldn't include one.

dready zim: Why do people not want a copy of their own data?

I have a copy of my own data, on my computer. Why would I feel the need to tote it all around on my glorified e-reader? Anything absolutely vital can easily fit on it..

CheekyMonkey: saintstryfe: CheekyMonkey: Dadoo: What kind of idiot designs a tablet with no storage expansion capability?

A damn good question. The answer, of course, is APPLE.

WHy do I need storage? my music is all digitally streamed with iTunes Match, my photos are all in my photostream, my videos are on Youtube and Vudu, and my books are on my Kindle account and I can clear them as needed or not needed.

I keep a few albums, a movie, and a few favorite books - 5-6 gigs total. Everything else is online, why do I need a ton of storage?

YOU might not. However, YOU are not the only tablet user in the universe. OTHER people have different needs, and, as evidenced by plently of comments I've read, would like the option of adding storage.

The same could be said for you. If I'm not in a place with an internet connection, I am probably working with it. When I'm working with it, I don't WANT all that other stuff as distraction. Sorry if the Cloud is passing you by, but common, get with it.

Do you realize how farking retarded that sounds? YOU don't want/like a particular feature, so NO ONE else should have it either? Does it occur to you that if YOU don't like it, YOU don't have to use it?

The Cloud? Are people capitalizing cloud now?
I'd rather store my own information and keep it private. Sure there are some things that I will stream off someone else's server. But those of us that travel about, don't always have access to a good internet connection.

The 'Cloud'. I'm still snickering over that one.

I own the Nexus 7 and if your only reason for not getting it is the lack of SD support, I'd say buy it, root it and use a USB drive, I really think you'll love it. I'm more google savvy then tech savvy and I had the Nexus set up for USB use in less then a 1/2 hour. I'd take the Nexus over the wife's Ipad mini or the kids Nook Color.

I was going to read this on my Nexus 7, but I sneezed and the screen shattered.

The Bestest: We don't need a review. The Free Market.. and Twitter... have spoken
[hexus.net image 560x386]

So what you're saying is that iPad users are insecure Twits who need to broadcast their new toy to everyone. Users of other tablets, on the other hand, don't feel the need to tweet everything that happens and probably used their tablet for something more interesting.

/got a (non-iPad) tablet for Christmas
//Opened it early
///Also didn't tweet about it
