I'd order a bronto-burger then watch the waitstaff argue about whether such a thing existed or not.

Bad idea, if you do make sure you have plenty of acetylsalicylic acid on hand

Flinstone Vitamins' website:

Link

It has this "Bronto Burger" recipe:

What you need:
1 lb. (500 g) medium ground beef
3/4 cup (175 mL) rolled oats
1/3 cup (75 mL) milk
1 egg
1/4 cup (50 mL) finely chopped celery
1 tsp (5 mL) salt
1-1/2 tsp (7 mL) dried basil leaves
4-6 burger buns
Decorations:
Lettuce, tomatoes, cheese, pickles, olives, carrots, cucumber, sweet peppers, etc.

What to do:
Combine first seven ingredients in bowl. Mix well. Shape into patties. Heat frying pan on medium heat. Pan-fry burgers on both sides until well done. Place lettuce, cheese and tomato on bottom bun, add burger and cover with top. Let your imagination run wild and decorate the bun to look like your favourite dinosaur. Use toothpicks where necessary to fasten pieces to the bun.

Makes 4 to 6 burgers.

/not at all what I was expecting

"I ordered a bronto-burger! This is an apato-patty melt!"

"Sir, that *is* a so-called bronto-burger."

I like that the winsome waitress is able to carry a giant rack of ribs that is heavy enough to unbalance a car made of stone and its occupants.

Those Bedrock inhabitants must have been tough muthafarkers.

Peta would protest against cloning dinosaurs to make a huge bbq or burgers or those huge fishes to make sushi. And then we think about pre historic bacon

Tough? Joe Rockhead had total reconstructive plastic surgery at least four times that I know of and the farker is still kicking it hard.

Back in the early '70s, I knew some university researchers who were working on using elephants as a protein source in parts of Africa. They did an after-dinner (!) speech for Sigma Xi about the project, including a slide show of he abbatoir. I mainly remember the photos of some honkin' big chops. Never heard about the project after that, I think it quietly faded away.

I'm just reading the memoirs of Frederick Courtenay Selous, D.S.O., so I'm getting a kick out of these comments.

According to Larry Niven, moa is supposed to be the meat of choice.

See? They used to ridicule me for lamenting extinction, since we'll never know how tasty these critters really were. Let's get cloning some mammoth. Or moa. Or giant ground sloth. I'll take one of each.

The second most important question: Red or White?

2012-12-28 02:25:42 AM
Alligator tastes like chicken. Frog tastes like chicken. Snake and turtle apparently taste like chicken. They had to share a common ancestor with dinosaurs, which in turn gave rise to birds, which taste like chicken.

So I'm gonna go out on a limb here and assume dinosaurs probably tasted like chicken.
