Yeah, but what's the answer? Lock up the loonies? Implant pumps in them so they always take their meds? I agree that the individual is responsible for their actions, but how do we minimize the threat from the mentally ill while respecting their rights? I say this as the sole person in my immediate family who isn't on some kind of mood-altering medication who sometimes wonders if I shouldn't be taking them as well. I will mull it over as I clean my assault pistols after a day at the range.

Man, I wish I could find the pamphlet my parents came up with when they found out I was playing D&D as a kid. I've looked online a few times and haven't found it. No, it wasn't a chick tract. I remember it had a story about a kid killing his parents for a +1 sword and it had a list of everything D&D "led to" which included, of all things, Jungian philosophy (ooh, archetypes). I wish I still had it to marvel at its silliness.

Sorry, you failed your Wisdom check. You cannot marvel at the silliness.

So where were we? Oh yeah... so you fall through the hole in the basement of the tavern and are in a 10' x 10' perfectly square dungeon room, obviously the lair of a geometrical perfectionist or an architect who only had graph paper from 'Staples' to work with. Exists are north and south.

Ya know, I had typed 'Dennis' but then figured that not many people would get it, so I edited it out. Going with my first instinct then...

".. you light your torch and notice that the exits are North, South, East and Dennis."
