Perhaps one year we'll see some names on this list that won't elicit any feelings of sadness. Like Donald Trump or Ted Nugent.

I'm one of those people who thinks to myself "quit your biatching" when people complain about slideshows (since you can typically deslide them easily), but WHOA was that site awful.

Like, "a prerequisite for going to that site is being a 40-something year old lady who is on so much valium that she is off her goddamn rocker" awful.

What, you don't like an ad in between nearly every slide of a 50+ page slideshow? What better way to honor and respect the passing of some of our nation's most beloved people? E! cares!

I'm still surprised Frank Cady (Mr. Drucker from "Green Acres") died this year.
I thought he died years ago.

Man, that episode of 'What's Happening' where Rerun bootlegged the Doobie Brothers was so seminal in my development as a human being.

I didn't get the ads but I clicked 'next' about 30 times and only saw about 5 people due to repeating slides.

I guess Jack Klugman died 10 times this year.

Do people stop dying between the 25th and 31st? Or is the author trying to meet some quota?

Damn, I didn't know that Nicol Williamson died. Amazing actor. His Hamlet was uniquely maladjusted.

Rough for celebs all around, although the number of them who were in their 90s was impressive. Although they forgot Harry Morgan.

2012-12-26 09:53:20 PM
The thing is, guys like Ernest Borgnine were totally the best ever. But they were also like 90, and it was a matter of time. But Adam Yaunch? fark you, 2012. Seriously, fark you. And I like HW Bush, so double fark you if something bad happens.

He was one of those guys who looked old with a bit of makeup by his late 40's. Of course, back in the late 60's, I thought 40ish was old.

/Appeared in 'The Asphalt Jungle'
//and 'When Worlds Collide'
///and worked with all that sweet tail on The Beverly Hillbillies, Green Acres, and Petticoat Junction

He should be at the top of that list.He had a stories which he rarely spoke of.
As I said in his thread...He was Rambo before Rambo was Rambo.

How could they forget Andy Williams? Especially since his Christmas music has been on the radio non-stop since the day after Thanksgiving.

Jefferson Biatchmagnet: Whoa, Ronnie Montrose died?

Yep, but the slideshow is wrong on the cause. Although he had prostate cancer he actually died of a self-inflicted gunshot wound.

Damn shame. Met him after a show in July 2011. Nicest "rock god" you ever met. Talked and joked with everyone. Very down to earth guy.

RIP Rock Candy Man

That means ... horrors ... 2013 will be the first year rung in without Dick Clark in a long, long time.

Nothing good can come of it, mark my words.

And yeah, where's Larry Hagman in that list???

GypsyJoker: Although they forgot Harry Morgan.

Oh, crap. Yes, they did. Larry Hagman as well.

Donna Summer was the one who saddened me the most. She was something of a musical hero for me when I was little and it was a bit of a shock.

I'm not much of a 'star-gazer', but some of those people were a credit to their professions. Definitely a shiat year for the music industry.
