Stinkyy: fusillade762: Stinkyy: I had to *race home* after a party two days ago when I realized in horror that such & such a lady was going to tag me at the party. I believed maybe I had an hour to get home and figure out the new settings.

Wow. What kind of party was it, exactly?

Believe it or not, it was just the church lady at a totally sedate dinner, introducing my gal-pal for the first time.

You mean the "Church Lady?" and by "Gal-Pal?" You mean "Tina?"

So why the horror and the Ferris Bueller rush to get home?

Gah. Well, I wish I had anything approximating a CSB, but I don't, so the short answer is that I had a bad feeling the church lady would post the pic of me + gf w/o asking permission, and I try to keep my private goings-on locked down. The gal pal and I have two polar opposite opinons on the subject of posting from our private lives. It's a tough argument to withstand, but she thinks I'm trying to hide "us". The sad truth is I am hoping to let her down easy, because it's coming, and I don't want the added emotional invovement or public spectacle with any deeper FB doo-doo. I am trying to create distance with the hope we could still be acquainted without totally severing ties, and hope that could be achieved with a gradual slowdown in our relationship. Thanks for your interest and I hope I didn't bore the crap out of you.

The church lady had that shiate posted in less than 10 min. after I left.

Ah, thanks for the explanation. Makes sense now. My first thought from your initial post was you'd been photographed at some sort of S&M dungeon party.

so none of those things will actually happen. by letting this go on longer and being secretive, she will be hurt more by your just stringing her alone and not being upfront and honest from the get go.

just pull the bandaid off quickly and things will be better in the long run. either she will or wont be friends with you afterwards. dragging it out only makes it look like there might be something, giving hope, when there is none.

on the other hand, there is nothing wrong with not doing this during the holidays.
unless the only reason that you are waiting is so that you are not alone on new year's eve, in which case you are just being selfish.

Thanks again.
/TFers are a cut above the rest
//Hope someone (maybe me) learns something from all this dirty laundry
///FB and relationships can be tricky, let your fingers do the walking if you don't believe me
//Happy holidays
