A flabby, pasty, liver-spotted armed conflict.

And in exchange for his dippy armed takeover, he gets $8 million bucks. Something crooked as hell is going on at Freedom Works. I thought so when he got a sweet buyout, and now that this came out I think so even more.

As I've said, it's never been about principle with them.  It's about power.

Yeah somethin' clearly ain't right there.  Wasn't Freedomworks a 501(C) of one kind or another ?(3 or 4 iirc)  I seem to recall that there are rules about paying Directors and Officers of such entities what the IRS would call "excessive compensation"

problem is, once they're done shooting at one another...they'll take to shooting at the rest of us.  Now thank gods nobody actually got shot here yet....but it wouldn't take much to start the bloody purges and suchlike.

what a surprise, there was no "actual, armed conflict".
Someone was escorted out of a building....ohhh, libs build that up as an armed conflict...feel the hate...

It is really funny how scared and whiny people are of the Tea Party.

I don't want to see anyone get shot.  With that caveat duly issued, I say: "rage on 'baggers!"

the tea party likes to mix guns and heated political discussions.  that seems dangerous to me.

It looks like Freedom works has split themselves into a 501(c)3, a 501(c)4 and a 527. But I think that since Armey is going to be paid by a donor, that gets around the "excessive compensation" piece.

But it's pretty clear that Kibbe is doing something as corrupt as all hell there, and that Armey is getting a lot of money to be quiet about it.

Yeah, extremists tend to do that. Especially when funded by profiteers. And even more so when the more extreme they are, the more profitable it is for their puppetmasters.

Look how they turned on Johnny B!

Can't wait for the fever to break and a few decades of calm and prosperity to follow the current nonsense. Hopefully I am safely dead before enough voters fall for this shiat again and start trying to dismantle the changes we put in place when the current crop of idjits gets run out of town on a rail.

Indeed.  Old variation on "afraid of strong conservative woman" is old.  And looking tired.

FreedomWorks has long portrayed itself as a grassroots organization, yet the donation shows how it's really become a handful of wealthy individuals who are calling the shots for these groups

Here's the Dear Jerk guide to recent American party politics:
Many years ago, like 50 or so, the Republicans thought they had the white house sewn up with their image of God, Defense and Low Spending. A televised debate here or an impeachment there would louse things up once in awhile, but basically, they owned the white house and they accepted that the democrats would control the House. Then Clinton came alnong with triangulation. Boy, did that piss them off. He took trademarked republican ideas and claimed them as his own. He stole the middle. The republicans ceded the middle right away without a fight. Since 1991, they have been campaigning from the far right, inward. Obvoiusly, the fringes are where the kooks are. Richard Hofstadter calls this the Paranoid Style of politics. They're proine to conspiracy theories and doomsday rhetoric. Their ememies are pure evil and there can be no compromise. (remember, politics is the art of compromise). You can compare the Tea Party to Birchers, McCarthyites, populists, and anti-Mason/Jesuit/Illuminati. Anyway, they were bound to start shootoing at some point. Each other is the best possible scenario.

Guys like Dick Armey got where they are by not just being bought, but by staying bought.

And since the FreedomWorks donors have agreed to give him $400,000 a year for the next twenty years to be quiet about what happened at FreedomWorks, I don't expect we'll ever know for what is going on.

I've noticed that you always do that. You mistake amused derision for some kind of fear. In case you haven't noticed, the Tea Party is a joke. There's nothing to fear with the Tea Party. It's typical republican projection. You people are scared of everything so you project that quality on others. Relax. No one is scared of the Tea Party.

How about we give the Tea Party folks the Dakotas, Montana and Idaho. Mix in all the guns they want, the biggest fence in the world and I guarantee they'll have 'thinned out the potato crop,' so to speak, inside of 5 years. We can troll them into moving by calling it Galtland.

I think some brave patriot may have already started. Wasn't there a thread about some new ammosexual paradise a couple of weeks ago? It had a giant list of rules that boiled down to: 1) have lots of guns everywhere.

Until they collapse the state government you happen to live in and need services common to civilized societies like water treatment, sewers, power, fuel, roads, schools, etc.

Is Dick Armey a "lib"? He's the one that felt he needed a hired thug on site before he could start suspending employees.

The Times story, meanwhile, examines how much of the Tea Party's efforts are being redirected from major nationwide issues like taxes and Obamacare, to smaller pet causes on the state or local level. Some are pushing states to nullify health care law, while others are pursuing voter fraud cases. Meanwhile, others are focusing on individual races, which can make the Tea Party a greater election headache for moderate Republicans than Democratic opponents.

But we were told the Tea Party were concerned citizens of both sides of the spectrum concerned about Taxes and the Federal deficit.

You mean that wasn't true? *shocked face*
