Yeah, "wake the fark up" was well done actually (as in lyric-wise), but the message was pretty stupid. "Wake up by voting for one of the two parties that runs this country and is still bought and paid for by corporations"

Dontcha just love the "BSAB" argument.

Memo to the third-party types: Until you have a candidate on Obama's level of charisma, intelligence and campaign chops, you will NEVER EVER EVER gain the ear of those who voted "D" or "R".

I just love how the third-party people say "DON'T VOTE DEMOCRAT OR REPUBLICAN!" but their "choice" has the charisma of a piece of plywood.

Yeah, because charisma is the only factor that matters in a leader, right? You know who else was charismatic...

Those were good but this was my favorite

If you want your candidate to actually have a shot at winning, it's one of the most important things.

Either you need a charismatic leader, or your platform just doesn't resonate with the American people. Pick one, and either way, stop whining.

Meh. It's just dumb. Don't vote third party at the national level until we have an organized third party coalition. Which will never happen until we can change our campaign rules. Meanwhile, don't yell into the void about electing Ron Paul or Gary Johnson as PotUS, get some people in local and state offices. Turn Colorado into a libertarian paradise then use that to sell it to the rest of us.

Stop trying to take the farking short cut. It's not going to work. The candidates have utterly *sucked*. They wouldn't have been able to get *anything* done in the legislature without a boatload of allies, who are ALL going to be antagonistic in efforts to derail a third party's true development.

Go run for County Exec. Several of my friends have done just that and found themselves in positions where they don't need a proxy to change their environment. They do it themselves.

That is what *I* personally find obnoxious about third party peddlers. All talk. Don't like the two party system. ATTACK IT. At the root. I was hopeful that the third party debates would be... uh... good. But it was a third party love in. What I think it will be "known for" is that it opened the window to a discussion about top two primaries and public campaign finance. If you really want things to change from D/R to D/R/I/L/G/A/S, start there. Also, start now, and you might be able to roll a petition through your state legislature (depending on where you live) in time to see some kind of legislation hit the floor before 2014.

Holy crap... I mean, those were the parties I was thinking of... but I had no expectation that it would actually translate.

Nicely done. That's what I was aiming for.

Probably a superior political make-up.

Has Sarah Silverman run her course yet?
I find her insufferable now.
Kinda pretty, sweetly says offensive stuff
that was funny back when she started
but one trick pony does one trick
her political ads make me wanna vote against anything with her support.
..and kick a baby
