Why doesn't this stuff happen to me.  I could use a couple days rest.

The headline sounds like the synopsis of a comic book.

Jesus, that's horrible. An insane man was out roaming free, because this inconsiderate asshole didn't make a point of keeping his ID on him. Some people.

See libs, you start instituting mental health treatment instead of putting guns in schools and this sh*t will start happening here.

It's always been one of my nightmares to be mistaken for an escaped patient, drugged and incarcerated at an asylum.

I call those days Monday - Friday.

That's why I always steal someone else's wallet as soon as I escape from mental hospitals. I can claim to be them and they have no way to prove they aren't me.

I was thinking the same thing.

Here in the US, I bet he would be charged.

See they said sorry now shut up about it! Things like this happen all the time in California and if you make a fuss you find yourself in trouble with the law around every corner or if it looks like the public is siding with you they will threaten that your case will break them causing no one to ever never ever to be able to get help agian OMG! Then the public turns on you....So STFU...Nothing to see here, wink, wink.

If they got jsa, they still locked up the right guy.

WTF is a "random man"?

2012-12-26 11:44:55 AM
Shiat like this is why we love our lawsuits in the US. Okay, shiat like this almost never ever happens, but if it did, man, I'd freakin' OWN THAT PLACE!

What I'd do with a mental hospital full of nutters, I don't know, but it'd be MINE!

Might be good for parties...

GIS for random man.

If I saw him on the streets I would institutionalize him too.

2012-12-26 11:47:30 AM
this shiat right here is one of my worst nightmares... I would definitely get violent with the doctors, nurses, orderlies, and anyone else that came to help them with me.

2012-12-26 11:51:15 AM
This also means that "insane" is indistinguishable from "claims to not need treatment for insanity" by the mental health professionals.

Isn't that the real problem here? I bet they drugged him because he kept ranting about how they got the wrong guy.

Kind of makes you wonder if they have any more like that.

Evil Mackerel: He's lucky that he wasn't lobotomized.

No, but the anti-psychotic drugs that they gave him will probably have some permanent mental effect on him, then they will claim that because of this he needs to be committed.

You do know the only reason they do that now is for intractable seizures and cancer, right?

On plus side, he now has an awesome story to tell.
