I'm with you on this. They may not have a 100% hit rate, but some of them are pretty interesting and they can be pretty funny at times.

Agreed. I know it is cool to bash Cracked around here, but when I click a link I tend to fall into the Cracked rabbit hole and I don't come out for quite some time.

My favorite:

6 Things Rich People Need to Stop Saying:
#6. "Well, $500,000 a Year Might Sound Like a Lot, but I'm Hardly Rich."

"The amount that I have to reinvest in my business and feed my family is more like $600,000 ... and so by the time I feed my family, I have maybe $400,000 left over ..."

-- Congressman John Fleming

"It is hard to ask more of households making $250,000 or $300,000 a year. In large parts of the country, that kind of income does not get you a big home or lots of vacations or anything else that is associated with wealth."

-- Senator Chuck Schumer

Schumer is not wrong. You are certainly not destitute at $300K, but you ain't even close to rich. You are in the middle.

300K here in Minnesota =/= 300K in New York or California.

as someone living in Japan, I can't stress how awesome the "Things they don't tell you about living in Japan" article

For how many years have they been doing this? How does this list hold up against the others? Did it make the "Best 6 'Top 25 Articles of 20xx' Lists" article?

/hey look, 3 stupid questions in a row, it must be a Sports headline

300k is pretty good no matter where you are. Obviously, how far that 300k will take you depends on where you're living. I could live much more lavishly on 300k in the middle of the country than I could, for example, in San Francisco. But 300k is plenty of money to be very comfortable with wherever you are.
