Sometimes, a nice quiet meal, eaten alone, listening to NPR on one's headphones or enjoying the newspaper, is a fine thing indeed.

Many people simply aren't comfortable just "being" by themselves...looks like Culkin has no problem with it. Of course, heavy sedation helps.

/Went and saw The Hobbit for the third time all by myself like a big boy yesterday.

The only thing sadder than Macaulay Culkin eating alone at Taco Bell on Christmas Eve are the paparazzi and "reporter" who are there to capture every sad moment of it. Talk about dead inside.

I like eating alone on occasion. I can read a book, and have some goddamn quiet for an hour. I never thought it was weird or sad or anything.

Coco LaFemme: Eating alone by itself isn't sad. Sometimes if I'm out running errands by myself and I get hungry, I'll stop and have some lunch. Just because I'm sitting there eating and there's no one with me, doesn't mean I go home and cry into a pillow covered in cat hair. I think it's sad if you look depressed, or like you'd just gotten into an argument with someone, but other than that......the guy's eating. Leave him alone.

He's no longer banging Mila Kunis, and eating at Taco Bell. I'm going to say he's sad.
